Yup the ones getting paid had nothing to do with it, despite that one major aspect of their job is to get the kids they are coaching to produce.

I ask you these..who was Gus clearly better than while he was here?...why is Gus getting these touches now?

The answer to the 1st is nobody...the answer to the 2nd is because of injury. Gus just taking advantage of his chance

Take off your glasses. Only one of those three are doing anything in the NFL now. No shame in saying Gus is doing better.

Wait a **** minute. So now Duke Johnson, who just signed a contract that made him 11th on the list of RB salaries, ain't doing anything in the NFL? Browns just drafted Nick Chubbs in the 2nd round and he still isn't making more money than Duke. What glasses?

Duke Johnson is doing **** good in the nfl actually especially before this year but he’s still a weapon in the browns offense

Not so says the coach. The Ravens feel like they found the starter they were looking for. They like the bigger back running inside with Lamar Jackson running RPOs. They have have great defense. They want to pound rock with Gus.

I'm happy for Gus finding an NFL team that fits his running style.

This is Gus' 1st season so there is no point in comparing production stats. They are completely different backs as well. I'm just happy that both are doing well.

I mean, Gus has half the yards Duke has in a quarter of a season than Duke has in 4 years. But sure more money means better player.

Listen guys. Duke is a good player and has a place in the league. Happy he made his money. But as an every down NFL back Gus is the guy.

Dear CIS poster......please highlight Where I said or suggested that Gus was better than someone else? I simply highlight how you completely minimize the role of the coaches.

Why is this even an argument? No college coach gets paid to recruit who will be better in the NFL. By this logic you are saying you would’ve taken Alex Smith instead of Vince Young bc Smith has been better in the league. Quit being ignorant and just be thankful he came to UM and is giving the Canes good publicity

I’m saying tho..WHO WAS GUS GONNA TAKE CARRIES FROM. There’s only one ball and certain amount of carries to go around. He wasn’t taking carries from none of the cats in front of him. You said it was “roster management” which implies you think he should’ve gotten more touches?..sooo who was he taking carries away from? Duke? Walton ? Or yearby? While he was here y’all never had this energy for him to get more PT.

And the only reason he is getting carries now is cause the 3 RBs that were in front of him got hurt....come next season he will be back to the bench with little playing time
