Gurvan Hall as a punt returner

Sometimes a game is often about kicking game and field position. We have great PK and punter. I would prefer a PR who can give us great returns, but after a couple of early season fumbles by Pope, I am now happy if the punt returner can just field the punt and not turn it over. I am also happy if the PR can field the punt in a way that doesn’t put the offense in a hole to start drives. Any return yards is just gravy
 
Hall and Pope look at the ball like it’s a bomb coming and they are scared ****less it may land in their hands. Gimme a guy that wants to attack the ball and be confident.
 
Let’s just bring 11 and go for the block. It really can’t be any worse than what we do now.
 
Just catch the ball. Fair catch often. Don't fumble if you return.
That's good enough for me this season...

Our return game is so bad. Our kickoffs are called back every time and we have had like 4 muffs and very little return yards on punts.
 
So...our return game is extremely subpar no matter who is back there...and we're blaming 3 different return guys instead of the Unit coach?

It’s stupid! I’m beginning to wonder about Manny. His coaching is not progressing.
 
So far this season, our punt returners should just signal for a fair catch and then vacate the field so they don't bobble, muff, or fumble. Has happened too often.
Kick returns should take the fair catch and the 25 yard line. Very few of our returns get us past the 25, either due to a **** poor return or a stupid block in the back.
 
Restrepo Is the guys, they just need to chew him out for trying to be too aggressive. Pope scares the **** out of me and Hall somewhat does as well.

Kick and punt returning are vastly becoming dying skills. They have always had the rare spectacular play but statistically they have contributed little to most games. Now, with the placement with fair catches, the proliferation of long kickers, and the preponderance of penalties, you are, as has been suggested, better off taking the fair catch. But everyone wants to be another Hester.
