Gurvan Hall as a punt returner

Remember when people were actually defending Patke, bc we got a real kicker and a punter? They though was a kicking/punting coach too I guess lmao

PR/KR is a mindset man.

It's more than just being fast and twitchy.

You got have it in your dna, which is why I'm all for the X-Man handling those duties for us.

f*cking2020: where the miami bleeping hurricanes can't find answers for K/P returners

Honestly his return last game might be the worst punt return in the history of the sport. Muffed punt, picked it up instead of falling on it and then lost 10 yards by running backward. All with ~3 minutes left and trailing.

I could careless about returning punts, as of right now, we just need somebody/'s who gone catch the ball, we don't have the developed enuff personnel to do that just yet. As of now I'm good with the development of our special teams, coach patke has actually improved several units, getting blocked punts against formidable opponents means something, getting blocks period is a good sign, and the coverage units have been good, no need in talking bout the punter nor kicker, they been ballin!

They all competed for that spot in the “fall”. I think having no real off szn probably hurt tryna solve that. I’ve said it before, they need to keep pope back there. His mistake was a fumble and tryna catch a tough one in a crowd
POPE NOPE!

There's absolutely no reason for us to field a punt the rest of the season.

We shouldn't even send a returner back to field punts.

U think he gets that nod a True freshman? Idk I think X will be the front runner there
If competition in Spring/Fall camp is fair, his speed & play making ability should/will separate him.

Curtis is a game-breaker return man, he's get from 0-60 in an instant, kid is Travis Benjamin Jr.

IMO if you're a competent coach you can't keep his natural talent off the field, especially at PR, as a dynamic return man he can change the entire tenor of the game with his return skills.

That’s fair man. I’d always rather a good decision maker back there before anything. But as for Malik. I remember a thread talking about him being processed out smh. Ain’t no way. Idc about his rating u pop in the tape, that’s the kind of dynamic speed u get on your roster no doubt

Besides him being a little too anxious to make a play/impact right away, IMO Restrepo looked like the guy for PR.

He's sure handed, built so he can take a hit, and is football smart

That would put us at a decided disadvantage in field position don't you think?

I haven't counted but I would imagine we have over 5 fumbles on punt returns - it's happening almost every game.

At this point, the risk outweighs the reward as we seemingly cannot trot anyone back there who can even be counted on simply catching the ball every single time.

if you know what i mean GIF

Can’t have a punt returner that runs backwards
Our punt return game probably is the worst in the country , every time somebody back there I hold my breath , all of our punt returners we tried have bobbled the football at least once smh

Hall to me catches the ball in the most secure manner out of everyone. Which is not saying much but still.

The job should be his.

he almost dropped the very last punt. It slipped through his arms and he caught it with his thighs. Go watch the tape.

amazing we can’t even find one guy to just field a punt.
