Man, I hope he gets healthy and comes back strong. I had a good feeling about him coming inNot counting on him this year IMO.

I was using the 3300 passing plus 2200 rushing suggested by @FrancisSawyer. So 458 total ypg, not just passing.3,300 / 12 is NOT 450, try 275 and it is only 253 if you include a bowl game. 450 X 12 is 5,400 and 450 x 13 is 5,850. Read my other post my friend to see his game by game stats. It will help you understand that 2,200 is really funny, unless he gets injured.

Expectations for this season?
7-5 with improvement as the year goes on. Important Bowl Game victory to gain momentum to an 11-2 2024 seasonwww.canesinsight.com
If Dawson calls games like he did in the spring, 4,000 yards is in play and 4,500 with a bowl game.
yea, it surely can go both ways. Many of us including myself are cautious going into the year given our expectations last year and how it turned out. Most of us are being real with ourselves. However, we could get to 9 wins. I am a fan of both Guidry and Dawson. What we saw in the spring game was encouraging on both sides of the ball. Our D-line played well with many out, our CBs were tight on coverage most of the night, we found a legit MLB, our WRs were where they were supposed to be and caught nearly everything. OL struggled a bit but we were playing 3rd string guards. There is reason to be encourage but keeping expectations low is a good thing.I was using the 3300 passing plus 2200 rushing suggested by @FrancisSawyer. So 458 total ypg, not just passing.
I get the math, I do, and I am a big Dawson fan - I did some write-ups on his offense when he was hired. It's just hard for me to reconcile most of the board thinking we'll have a 7-8 win season while simultaneously thinking TVD will absolutely shatter UM passing records in the process.

No one expected FSU and UNC to do what they did last year but they did while we did the opposite. It is possible we see a flip of that scenario this year. If Maye and TVD were stocks. You buy TVD and sell Maye. Last year, at this time I would have said the opposite.
TVD - 3350, 26 TD'sLeading passer, rusher, and receiver for 2023 - who ya got and how much?
I'll start:
TVD - 2200 yds, 21 tds
Chaney - 750 yds, 11 tds
Restrepo - 850 yds, 9 tds
TVD - 3150 yds - 27TDs - 10 INT
Parrish - 880 - 5 TDs (but the team has 2 other guys near 500-600 yds)
Young - 70 - 940 - 8 TDs and X - 55 - 780 - 10 TDs
If Arroyo is healthy all season I can definitely get on board with the TEs taking a few of those TDs. If Arroyo or Skinner ends up having a line something like a 30-450-6 stat line I think it would end up taking 3 from X (so he would have around 7).I like this summary a lot, except I think either a TE or Mark Fletcher gobbles up a lot of redzone TDs rather than X
My overly optimistic, two pitchers of kool aid deep, fresh off watching a Ray Lewis inspirational speech, green and orange glasses covered predictions.
Passer- TVD (3300 Yards, 29TDs, 9 INTS)
Rusher- Chaney *if healthy* (1100 yds, 9 TDS). If he's not healthy Parrish (783 yds, 6 TDS)
Receiving- Young (65 rec, 1048 yds, 8 TDS) and X ( 80 rec, 975 yds, 4 TDS)
Tough crowd..OP's right-on with those numbers, taking into account a 4 game holdout from DVD seeking more NIL $. Drew Rosenhaus wholeheartedly endorses this take.

I was one of those… I think we’ll be in shootouts.I also wonder if those that think TVD throws for 3500 yds and 30 TDs also think we go 7-5/8-4. Cause if TVD puts up those numbers they gotta believe we're winning the ACC, no?
