Guess Vegas thinks Malik is starting as well

Bama with a stud quarterback the next two years is going to take a great effort from someone, or an off day from them.

I can't wait for the day that all the South Florida kids stick around and we have a legit QB to give them a run for their money.

I'm thinking/hoping that "stud" moniker isn't going to be applicable to that kid after some prolonged exposure in the spotlight and to defenses that can gameplan for him. Sadly, Alabaga's schedule ain't exactly a murderer's row though.

Whatever happened to Easterling? Talk about falling off from the top of a mountain.

Meanwhile, Easterling started coming to Central games to see Cook and Yearby. While he dared not show his face at Northwestern, he attended a few rivalry games at Central, wearing a hoodie to keep a low profile.
Eventually he met Cook and worked out several times with him and Yearby, tutoring them on the finer points of ball-carrying. Most of the colleges recruiting Easterling back in 2006 dropped out of the race with the statutory rape charge. He attended Southern Miss but was suspended for violating team rules and never returned. He spent a year in community college but never played. In 2010 he says, he was shot in the back of both legs when notorious Brownsville neighborhood gangsters “*****” and “Scar” Williams fired guns, including an AK-47, from a moving car into a crowd. He says he lost feeling in his left foot and now finds it difficult to run. Today he works part time in construction and coaches his nine-year-old son in football.

“My biggest regret is leaving USM,” Easterling says. “I tried sticking with it, but every time I was doing something good they’d bring up that incident. It got to me and I guess I wasn’t mentally tough. I was impatient. I was ready to play and the system wasn’t ready for me to play. I was being a city guy, trying to rush it, and it didn’t work out.”
“It’s just been tough, when the… how do I say this… when the support ain’t really there and you’re just freestyling on your own and you’re a young kid and you think you know what you’re doing. I fell. I painted the wrong picture.”

Easterling wouldn't have lasted long at Miami anyway. Shannon would have booted him 1st quarter. He has calmed down big time, but Easterling was a major hot head in school. He was starting fights at Chubbys, the moon, and Bajas every week. And once he got riled up, the police were the only ones calming him down. Im talking punching car windows out and flashing guns. All the police would do was tell his homeboys (Nigel Brandham, Gred Reid, Nigel Carr, and Rodney Smith) to put him in the car (cause half the time he was ripped) and take him home. He also popped off that brawl with the sigmas in the student union.

The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook updated its early odds for the National Championship and UM went from holding 25/1 odds to win the title back in early January to 40/1 on Monday
Vegas will soon list their odds on how many wins each college team will be projected for 2018 season. 10 wins seems like a reasonable win total. Thus season record of 10-3, same as last year. Therefore 40-1 odds to win nc seems reasonable.

LOL I'm willing to bet we do not open at 10 on RSW totals. If somehow that does happen, expect it to get pushed down immediately.

40 to 1 are nice odds for Miami. We are still a one game to the playoffs team. I see no reason for us to be worse than last year also we beat Clemson and we are in. The risk is a hang over from those last three games. We can’t lose early. I’m not big sports gambler but I might lay a thousand on that. 40k would make a nice bankroll for the casino to start 2019.

We lost three Dl starters , and Trent makes four huge pieces gone, Then mix in an unreal amount of turnovers last year. The turnovers and some fluke plays saved us multiple times.

We were living on a razor blade thin edge, that could’ve ended in a normal Miami season.

So I don’t think 9-10 wins is a given.

We still have a huge question at qb and not much depth at key spots .

Just saying
