In my heart - I believe they expected Cantwell and Merriewether to be Tackles and Samson and Mccoy at Guard. No way in the world can you convince me they ignored Guard in portal for this current situation. I think they assumed Cantwell would be CiCi Part 2 as a True Freshman

It's inexcusable that Mirabal and Cristobal are supposedly OL gurus and in 4 years haven't been able to sign a good high school center.

I think a big issue is they want to be able to run the full offense with this shiny toy they acquired at QB, and that means you can't rely on freshman. My hope is that over time the freshmen learn the system and can take over bc if they can't, I just don't see this OL being good enough for where we need to go.

Meriweather was such a bad eval, barely any tape in him as a 3rd year college player. I went back and watched his high school tape, I saw 0 upside at tackle. Feet slow and not athletic. Can he play guard, maybe?
