Clemson will do what they want in the first half and then take the foot off the pedal. They won’t risk injury week 1 against an inferior GT team.

Their LBs and DBs are overrated so watching them defensively will be interesting.

GT is breaking in a new staff with a completely new scheme. In such a short turnaround will they find any success on offense?

Other thing I like about this match up is to see how far we are from a team like Clemson or GT. Will both teams have a slew of first game penalty’s? How are the special teams units performing? Do these teams take a step forward and then 2 steps back every few plays?

I expect them to win by 4 plus scores. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was less and GT got some fumbles or picks from the early game jitters

True, GT isn't an FCS school. However, it's a school with a roster that was all recruited to fit into a triple-option scheme. Their offense is going to be full of mismatched players that don't necessarily fit the new scheme.

Should be a blowout but you never know.

Players to watch

Clemson: LB Isaiah Simmons, CB AJ Terrell, WR Justyn Ross, and RB Travis Etienne. We already know what Lawerence is going to bring.

GT: CB Tre Swilling
 
The real game will be next week against Texas A&M. Then right after that they play Syracuse away. Probably the only "tough" games Clemson will have all year. GT is going to be a walk in the park.

This conference is so easy for Dabo & Co. that it's laughable. If a team plays them closer than usual it's because Clemson's players are bored to death and sometimes lose focus with the lack of competition. Wouldn't be surprised if they jump to another conference soon. The only reason they're not in the $EC is because Florida and South Carolina (who would be destroyed by them every year) have teamed up to keep them and FSU out.

So much to hate about this post:
1. If GT hangs with Clemson they’ll beat us? Soft mentality. Even Richt’s team beat the last team that beat Clemson in the reg season
2. The SEC circle jerk. Clemson is bored so they’ll jump to the SEC? Where Bama beat every team by 22 then lost to clemson by 28?
