Randomly thought about this and felt compelled to post about it. Seen it mentioned here and there but there was quite a moment in that game that I wanted to see how many on the board experienced and could corroborate.

Q3 is wrapping up and we’re trailing at home. I vaguely remember a lot of **** poor mistakes coming out of the half. But the thing that sticks out more than any single play or series was the downpour which started right as Q4 was getting underway. It was a complete deluge onto the field, and the stands got a fair bit of moisture from a strong wind that just started blowing through the stadium.

And it started what was the most palpable vibe shift I’ve maybe ever felt in a live setting, and it felt like everyone else felt it at the same time too. No idea why or how, but the rain heralded a complete 180 in momentum and performance on our side and we pulled it out to win the game.

Curious who else was there and if I’m retroactively hallucinating with hindsight bias or not.

I was there, and you’re right. People started to cheer and things just turned around when it started to rain. I don’t even know why or how it happened. It just did. You had to be there.

Yeah we all felt the energy and just started yelling. Like a Hurricane power force or the Holy Spirit or Indian ancestors or something just decided to stroll through at the 11th hour.

Would be cool to hear from Rosier or anyone playing at the time what their POV was.

I was there, went to every home game except ND. I be up in 300 and it got so loud, GT didnt pick up another first down. And it was not totally packed but the atmosphere was tremendous. That season is kinda why i dont think we need a new stadium to be formidable. We need a proper team on the field.

**** bro you missed out. I went to most home games that year, and after the atmosphere was great for all of them. ND was the most incredible in person experience I’ve ever seen. But the GT downpour was something that’s hard to describe without sounding loony.

You forced me to check out the highlights. Settled for too many FGs. Those drives at the end of the halves though and Homer… good fun…

Great season of games that year

One of the most memorable shifts in a sporting event I’ve ever witnessed. You are spot on. The Tequesta bones rattled for the Canes that afternoon.

I remember it well. It was the game where @FlatlandCane and @Dr.L.ThugU grabbed my *** while taking a photo. Last game I attended.
