GT Faking Injuries Yesterday

I’m thinking, allow for three injury timeouts a game. Then start charging regular time outs. Then if you’re short, you’re short.

These faking injuries have no part in the game. The NCAA rules committee needs to take a serious look at this issue and come up with some type of punishment for teams that fake injuries to slow down the opposition. I don't know what type of punishment or penalty, but I am sure something can be done.

I am not one to blame faking injuries for the outcome of the game, but it does have advantages for the defense. It slows down the offense rhythm and momentum and also allows the defense to catch their breath. In that way, it does have an impact on the game. Perhaps just a small impact, but it is a form of cheating.

What GT did yesterday was just embarrassing. Why aren't our coaches getting in the refs face when this happens? Maybe they were doing that, but the cameras didn't show. I guarantee a team would not try to fake more than one injury if playing Bama, Clemson, or other teams. The refs probably wouldn't allow it and you can bet your *** that Bama's coaches would be all up in the ref's faces.

Their cheesy coach must really coach that stuff. In all my years of watching football I don't think I've ever seen so many players faking injuries. Must have been 10-15 lay downs in a span of 15 minutes. The guy who laid there while everyone was looking at his finger took the cake. Cart them off immediately OR let then sit out 5 plays after pulling this ****. NCAA needs to act now on this fakery. :stupid:
GTech coach is a reel POS.

Ive said before, if and when we play FIU again I want the following to happen:

1) To win by at least 40
2) On the final drive by FIU, every member of the Miami defense to “collapse” on the field simultaneously due to “injury”. I’d like it choreographed for maximum spectacle and entertainment.
3) And before head coaches meet for the obligatory end of game handshake, go down holding your hamstring.

I’ve said it 1000 times. The simple solution is if you go down and the officials call an injury TO you have to sit out the rest of the drive.

Preach.

That, and Diaz needs to counter this with more fight than he does.

Once Butch did to Manny and he didn't fight it or make a thing of it, other teams have since pulled it off—knowing the can get away with it.

Is our defense in rhythm when the opposing team is driving on us?
Three of their TDs were off what should have been short gains had anyone bothered to tackle. Had there been any tackling on those plays, those drives would have most likely have stalled. Another off a fumble recovery and 2 points off an embarrassing failed 2 PT conversion which were on the offense. So they didn't really drive on us much, at least not leading to points. I didn't seem much in the way of rhythm from them. Mostly stalled drives that only lasted as long as they did because of our mystifying inability to stop 3rd and long. Our wounds were all self-inflicted, and slowing the other team down wouldn't have help IMO.

Bama was faking injuries when Saban's d was getting killed by uptempo offenses a few years ago lol

As this has become rather common and flopping by players is on the rise, does that mean soccer is off the hook going forward. What about the NBA as well?
