Haha. I don't disagree with any of that but I wasn't talking about him being a regular week-in week-out member of the WWE roster. I do bet you see him work some mini angle and do a ppv or two with the next year or two though. I think pro wrasslin' has gotten to a point where they can protect guys that are injured or susceptible to injury enough that they can still perform on a limited or short term basis.

As far as the movie career, I absolutely expect to see him in The Expendables Part 26 or the next Fast & Furious where Vin Diesel is racing golf carts in a retirement community.

that's a good point, but i can't see it working long-term since he'll have to be a gimmick and lesnar has proven how much the fans hate part-time champs (i love the guy, but when the title holder only shows up once every month or two it kind of sucks). i could see him in some story lines for like a year tops.

also, and this is coming from me as a gigantic pats homer and lover of all things gronk, i don't think he'll last long with many speaking roles in hollywood. the guy is naturally hilarious but i'm not sure how well that will translate to the screen unless there's a layer that hasn't been seen yet (or if he decides to pursue avn awards instead of oscars).

I'll cede the wrestling take as I haven't really watched regularly since the end of the Attitude Era.

I absolutely agree with the movie stuff. I think he'll have a lot of opportunities to be part of an ensemble type cast for action movies or the Mike Tyson Hangover type roles in comedies but I too don't think he's probably equipped for a leading man type of situation.

Back to wrasslin', Gronk in a tag team with Pat McAfee would be at minimum very very hilarious.

i'd suggest you spend $10 and get wwe network for the month. mania is coming up on the 7th, and creative hit an enormous reset button a bit ago because things had gotten absolutely awful. it's a pretty enjoyable product again (but will never be as good as it was during the attitude days).

Winslow Sr was the prototype of the TE-as-WR we see today.

And if you really want to dip into the past, watch footage of John Mackey, Mike Ditka, Jackie Smith, Dave Casper in their prime. The number of catches are lower due to an emphasis on the running game but all four are all-timers at the TE position.

And don't sleep on Ozzie Newsome and Shannon Sharpe.

Lots of talk that’s why he retired , wwe.

If he were to go there he’d have a sweet schedule. He wouldn’t be working many nights.
Do you understand how many days your average pro wrestler works in a year?

If he gets a sweet deal that he can do alot less shows, then it might be worth it.

He’ll definitely get a sweet deal , not Brock Lesnar sweet but it’ll be good.

If he plays this right, life after football could be as lucrative for him as it was for Shaq after he retired. He's a very very marketable human being.

While the latter have better career statistics...with my eyes...neither was even close to as dominant as Gronk was nor were they the mismatch problem Gronk was in that Patriots offense. Gronk at his best is the greatest tight end of all time and its not particularly close, IMO. Great in-line and was a mismatch blocker. Put him in the slot. Flex him out wide and put him on an island against whoever your best is and he'll beat'em. On seamers in the ol' Cover 2 buster...on the island on a slant...finding soft spots in zones. Gronk was as complete a TE as you'll ever see in the game. He was also very fun to watch, played the game right, great personality...he was awesome and the game is worse after his retirement.

Don't know about GOAT, but I agree with you about His versatility. I think He could've played LT if He wanted to.

Alot of Cane fans forget how dominating Winslow was against Ohio St....If Porter doesn't throw the flag...not only does KW have the game winning TD....But in most likelyhood the MVP of game.

KW2 was good, but Shockey's the most dominant College TE I've seen since Keith Jackson. Him & AJ4 were a nightmare...roll the coverage to Shock, chunk it up to AJ4...roll the coverage to AJ4, Shock's killin' you between the hashes...can't win.
