Because that's his only option. Nobody in the NFL is going to touch him as a coordinator. He couldn't get a head coach job this cycle. He'll do his year and take the first available flight out of Columbus when he can.

Exactly why is it that nobody in the NFL will touch Schiano as a DC? Yeah he's a douche but he can coach defense.

Not after being **** on twice by the school he helped put on the map. I can easily see him taking a DC/recruiter gig at our arch rival and proceed to put it in Miami's *** with no vasaline. I don't blame him either. Also, he would get a hefty raise over being an ESPN analyst. I'm just going off the rumors of Jimbo contacting him. True or not, this would be the greatest of nightmares for Miami and we better pray it doesn't happen.

You can attack him with the petty little jokes, but Schiano can coach, eval and is an excellent game day planner. I don't like Urbie in th least, but man ain't no fool, he does surround himself with coaches who are better than himself. A+ hire.
