Great win, but FSU exposed us

First of all, if we were ranked top 10, even top 15 you can flap your gum about being exposed. We were ranked #17. So talking bout exposed is a bit much. Our defense was not exposed, i dont give a **** who FSU has playing they were held to 200 yards. They had 27-7 lead and our defense stopped them everytime they had the ball. And Richt did play tight with Perry, its not about him throwing it 32 times. Richt kept running the ball on early downs and we kept getting stuffed. Which forced us to try converting on long 3rds. I don't know what to make of this game.

I don't see anyone saying we were going to the playoffs or anything. What we get is what we will have to earn the rest of the way, just like last season when we met Clemson and they smashed us.

But people do have a **** point. We had to face FSU with a dim wit coach and no defense and they piled up 7 in a row and we couldn't beat them at home for 14 years. I said it before the game, there are high school recruits who are at that game, who have never seen Miami beat FSU in person, or they were there with their parents and have no recollection of it. Think about that and let the fans who showed up to the game enjoy a **** victory over your most heated rival.

Final thing ima say, FSU has beaten 1 10 win Miami team, Miami has beaten 9 10 win FSU teams. Do u think those inbred care when we are struggling and they piling wins when we were under probation twice? Don't think so.

Listen up folks, this is only year 3, but playing wise and actual game time it's actually on year 2.3 1/2, we are getting wins, let's face it, gumbo fisher did a good job recruiting trench players, so their d-line was more physical than our o-line most of the game and that's whzt made it the dog fight that it was. The game plan coach richt called was excellent in that it was beautiful seeing him and kosi grow together in this game, albeit they were forced to as well. If this o-line comes together next year or even later this year an kosi has time to throw, we're going to light people up.

Special teams hasnt been the best but that'll improve as the younger players grow up, gotta give credit to special teams on the punt returns, no penalties on the big runs. Bottom line people, enjoy the journey back to the top, stop acting like coach richt has been here forever, and tart appreciating the accomplishmsnts in his short period of time. Think about this for a moment, coach richt is in his 3rd year coaching with his 3rd starting qb and we are winning games that 4 years ago would not have happened. This team is on the come up, you got to appreciate the fact we got a headcoach that called plays that took advantage of the turnovers.

The last 2years in a row, and this is for those who keep saying "hire an oc" 3 of the best players on offense have gone down, last year it was walton and Ahmon and herndon, this year its Ahmon again, and we got True freshmen balling on offense, not having Ahmon out their is a real big deal when it comes to being dominant, but the jt4 development has been beautiful to watch. Their isca reason hasslewood decommited, and we may still be able to add tj jones as well, stack the room, lol. There are no guarantee's we got any superstar wideouts on the roster until they prove themselves.

A ST's deficiency was exposed last year.

Richt needs to call a much better game - as others have mentioned in a couple of threads.

His main competitor for a number of years at GA was Spurrier - and those Spurrier teams crushed him - not beat him - crushed him.

It is what it is.

Hopefully we'll keep building momentum on the field to stockpile enough big-time players to compete for championships.

Because I don't see us out-coaching too many solid coaches if they have decent talent.

Orgeron beat us and Taggert almost beat us. And they aren't exactly the cream of the crop of HCs.

Special teams, is just bad. But we all knew this. Offensively, we still don't have an identity. Defensively we're High and we're low. As of right now we are a above-average team. I know you Homer's are going to hate on me. The proof is in the performance

OP missed the part where FSU found its menfolk pants and put them on. He also missed the part after that punt return where we found our own and cane back from 20 points down. Team grew up yesterday, OP should too.

It takes five years to build a champion. Took that long for Butch, will take that long again for Mark. We’re in year 3.

completely inaccurate.

if its five years into a regime and you havent won a ship you likely are never winning one.

He played Spurrier a grand total of one game as a head coach. They lost 24-10 in his first season there.

I think he has a lot of issues as a coach but lets not change history here.

This is a team still growing and finding its offensive identity. And still trying to polish things up on Special teams which look way below average right now.

That being said, we defeated a hated rival that we had not beaten at home since the W Bush administration.
Our Defense allowed 54 yards in the second half and caused turnovers.

We have many deficiencies. But so does every team on our schedule.

One game at a time folks.

We played poorly against our arch rival. Yet recovered and came back and won.

We have numerous steas that we knew of going in where we can improve ...those areas did not perform well the whole game AGAIN....OK So what was really exposed that wasn't already exposed?

Rosier slurpers Im guessing. We just came back from a 20 pt deficit and won. GEEZUs. Man being ****ed off after a win over a rival isn't something our fanbase is prepared for yet. I like the moxy, destroy them all, we ain't that team. But we ain't Golden's either. WIN WIN WIN

Which part of rivalry game do people not understand? Miami played FSU just as hard when they sucked under Shannon and Golden. Kids play out of their heads in games like this.

We will have the number #1 ranked defense as soon as new stats come out. And yet some say that is a weakness? What exactly are you looking for on the field? My goodness stop looking for holes and look at the wall Diaz had built.
