Grateful for the Win

The second half was brutal, but we got a road conference win with all these guys out injured:
WR - Restrepo, Redding, George
RB- Parrish, Chaney, Citizen
OL - Nelson, Clark, Olawusean (+McLaughlin, Rodriguez)
TE - Arroyo
Those are significant injuries at every offensive position group except QB.
Also, Tyrique Stevenson was out.
I'll take an eked out win on the road against any conference opponent.
But yeah, I would have liked fewer penalties and a stronger 4th quarter.
Also lost Mallory at the half

Tbh; we have to be.

VA Tech is an awful team & Brent Pry is a really ****** Corch...

But even for as bad as they are, us actually winning was not a guarantee & we’re not in a position as a team where we can assume we’re going to beat bad teams, so every win counts & should be respected as such.

We suck, but at least we’re not as bad as VA Tech, UVA & Boston College...

I’ll take being 4th worst over dead last lol 🤷🏽‍♂️

I think they just need to use them better.

Stop using Rooster like a fullback and find ways to get him in space.
Tell TVD to throw to the open guy underneath and not always one guy. 7 yards on first/second down is better than a 20 yard incomplete pass to his favorite target.

They have the potential to do so much more.
Yeah, is it just me or did I see him miss a bunch of easy check downs that would have gone for at least 5 yards?

Mario will keep teams in the game

These guys who have never really watch him coach are really shocked about this. Hes not a good game day coach...Im hoping hes our Butch Davis and can bring us the hogs and get his offense right somewhat in year 2 or figure out his philosophy. I love the OL class coming in and the qb that alone makes his first recruiting class a win for me.

I counted atleast 3-4 times Rooster was open for a check down that may have gotten 5+-10+ yards if he makes one miss
