Can't deny he's not a good coach. Guy has coached some of the best but not sure he would be right fit for Miami

He's got a good thing going at Duke and has bought himself a lot of time. If he were to come here and couldn't get things going within 2 years people would be calling for his head.

Why risk it?

Risky hire marketing wise for sure. I think his success at a university with high academic standards would be appealing to UM's admin & fans would get a proven football guy.

Two words, Peyton Manning.

Would you not love to have Kaaya under his Cutcliff's wing? There is a reason why Peyton works out at Duke every summer. Who cares about image, that's what we thought we were getting with Golden and that's not the case. Look at our basketball coach...everyone would consider them pretty much the same, older coach who know's how to WIN.

You aware that Ben Roethlisberger wrote Mark Whipple a glowing letter of recommendation prior to us hiring him, right?

Donna does have a history of overpaying for old, washed up senior level managers from the university of duke. So I guess there's a chance of this happening.

Cutcliffe wouldn't be a grand slam hire.

He'd be a good hire and an upgrade over Golden.

A coach who I work with coached under Cutcliffe and they're best friends still. Cutcliffe has zero interest to leave Duke. He will retire from that job. Plus his style would not mix well with our players and recruits.
