Coached under Saban for years
Won a ring as a DC, against us, in 2002
Won the Big 10 twice, and the rose bowl last year
Features a top 5 defense every year
He's hit the limit he can take MSU to
He runs the same defense we ran here under Lubick/Tubbs
He's put a lot of QBs in the NFL

What's not to like? Get it done the guy would win huge here.

Good coach, wrong program. There's no way he could go into a South Florida living room and persuade a kid to go to Miami.

3.6 mil base salary. Narduzzi is the guy if your trying to pluck one of them

He is a good coach tho. Sure he's old.. Does not mean he can't reruit here.. His 4-2-5 would be nasty down with all the hybrid lb/safety types here tho.
 
He's a **** good coach, but not a good cultural fit.

Honestly I think we need to hire Butch because he's the closest thing to a sure thing, and this program can't take another miss at head coach.

The only Grand Slam hire Miami could make is Butch Davis. End of story!


If Miami hired Butch Davis, every kid committed to another school would immediately reconsider their commitment. Their coaches, their principal, their parents, their grandparents, their neighbors and their dog would tell them that Butch Davis will put them in the NFL.
