Graham Harell to USC

Good for Harrell.

Clay Helton is dead to rights anyway, so hopefully this one-off for Harrell elevates him a bit.

Once USC gets their President situation taken care of (supposedly by the end of March, but who knows)...they'll have some direction. Clay is on the hottest of seats and is essentially a lame duck. But there are a lot of dominoes that need to start falling before he gets the ax (President, new AD, etc), but its comin.

I don’t think it’s a great hire.

That Air Raid always gets shut down by good defenses.
I think he’ll adapt some because of USC’s consistently good to great RBs.
Think it’s the best OC hire so far of the off season, on paper. We’ll see how it pans out. Although I’m a fan of Penos too

The good defenses you speak of are not as present in the Pac12 except for maybe Washington. Maybe Oregon in due time. But the air raid with the Trojans talent will be good for them i think

Also I know he was a Frost but I can see JT Daniels becoming a real **** good quarterback.

I don’t know if he runs the Air Raid exclusively, or how often he uses it. I wouldn’t assume it.

He runs an Air Raid.

Solid Verbal, last year, had a great 1h+ with Seth Littrell and outlined their offense.

Look at their statistical output...35 rushes per game...thats an Air Raid offense.

He's from the Leach tree.

Nobody really knows if he runs Air Raid exclusively that I’ve seen in this thread.

Also, you can successfully run from an Air Raid offense, if you’ve ever actually watched it.

I don’t know. I’m asking the question.

Washington shut down Leach last year.

I don't want to make this a Leach thread...but...

Leach has been banished to the Tatooine of College Football with stints at TTech and Wazzu. Its ridiculously hard to get talent there. At Wazzu, he's basically scrapping off the soot from the bottom of garbage cans to get talent. Wazzu (and Oregon State) about as low as you're getting in regard to Power 5 talent pools. On par with like Kansas and K-State.
