That's a great point and it really stands out while attending the games in person. If you ignore everything else and merely watch our linemen approach the line of scrimmage and take their stance, it is impossible not to notice how flawed and mediocre they look. The frames aren't ideal. The conditioning isn't ideal. Watch them at the snap and the athletic ability isn't special.

Some of our narrow defensive linemen always look the part. Rosseau passes any eyeball test. But the elite programs send out one specimen after another. Ohio State loses Bosa. They aren't struggling with a 5th rounder this year. They have Chase Young who might be the first non-quarterback selected. Heck, he could be the first player selected period, if Tua decides to stay in school. Auburn has several defensive linemen who are expected to be high picks.

Meanwhile we try to rationalize guys like Jon Ford. I am not going to let him go as reference point. He should be last in the rotation, not someone who is touted and starting.

There's a correlation though...it's the segment of the fan base (whether pro or college) that preaches the following that make up the certified ******* clueless retards

Tanking is baddddd
Coaching doesn't matter that much
The coaches know more than you
You guys care too much about winning
Unrealistic expectations (mind you, we're talking NC and CMU)
Flying banners is dumb
Criticizing the coaching makes you a bad fan
Criticizing the administration makes you a bad fan

Man I was watching Harvard vs Yale and those teams are better coached than ours. Those teams are more disciplined and better organize than Miami. We have great talent but our coaching staff is horrible man. How are you making the same mistakes for for straight games and no accountability. I don’t blame any of these kids for not wanting to play for this staff, man I would take bags in a second to play for a good team and not this clown *** coaching staff. **** all that hometown love ****. Great teams don’t play like we did against CMU; with that said, average teams can have really bad games like we saw on Saturday. And then, they can play some good games throughout the season.

Before the season is over, there is going to be a game or two where we are firing on all cylinders and beat down the team we’re playing. The problem is, we’re not well coached enough to make that the norm.

I mean look at 2017 team, for example. We barely scraped by a god-awful UNC team and then destroyed ND. I’m not claiming that will happen....because it most likely won’t. But the point stands that we’re not as bad as we played against CMU. That doesn’t mean we’re good, either, but we’re not terrible. And anybody saying we’re gonna go 3-9 are total clowns.

This is how football works. Especially college football. Motivation is EVERYTHING. That's why there's so much variation. I fully expect Miami to flat out dominate an opponent or two this year, but we now have a 4 game sample and the offense has been pretty consistently awful and boring.
