Good point I heard on why he won’t hire an OC

He would be forced to fire his son. No offensive coordinator would come by himself. He would bring his people with him, and in most cases, an OC brings his own QB coach. Briles only took the job at FSU if he could bring his OLine coach with him. Enjoy another miserable offseason. Hope for the best against UF and if he loses, he will be gone by seasons end.

Then Blake should fire Jon for him. Now!
This is really the root of the problem. I get the feeling Blake is just a cuck, in way over his head as AD, who lacks the balls to make the decision to fire Jon, let alone Mark. It has fostered this misguided reality whereby Mark Richt has more power than any coach should and Mark's interests are simply not aligned with the team's or the fan's. He is selfishly looking out for his family, thanks to Blake who has enabled him with this authority and an extension.

Seems crazy that the future of this program rest with a positions coach but its the truth. Regardless of what changes are made, If Jon is not let go, it just signals that Mark is still unwilling to change and any changes are just for show.

These are strange and difficult times gents.

It all depends on what is in Richt’s contract. After 2 terrible hires you would think they would have contracts that give them an out for under preformance.

The business world unspoken rule is that you don’t hire family or place them under yourself ever. It’s counter productive and a liability for the company Decisions when special interest keeps a person in place.

The problem is really a head coach who is being stubborn and refuses to see what he is doing wrong.

He actually wouldn't even have to fire Lil Jon depending on the hire.

Matt Canada was OC and QB coach at LSU. You just make Lil Jon co-QB coach or "passing game specialist" or some **** and then you deal with Searles if that's a demand the new guy makes.

there is another logical conclusion that people need to at least think about and consider.

what we see Mork doing and not doing is not being "stubborn" .... its being done ON PURPOSE.

Jon is the overall problem with any changes being made. Thats 100% fact but also obvious.

Find Kid Rick a job in Buffalo, the CFL, NFL Uganda. I don't care. Certainly he's owed a favor 😜 somewhere. SMH

Of course he is doing it on purpose. He wants to call plays on offense and has named himself offensive coordinator. The problems on offense is Richt's stubbornness in seeing that he is not calling good plays there's no creativity in the offense and poor quarterback coaching. He thinks the problem is execution.
