Sad.

I got my Drivers License at 16 (1960). The cars I drove from 1960-67 (a 1956 Ford convertible and a 1963 Chevy convertible) did not have seatbelts.

First new car I bought was a 1967 Mustang convertible which did have standard lap belts (no shoulder harness). Like most people back then, I rarely used them.

Can't recall when/why I started to buckle up; probably when the law making their use mandatory was passed a year or so later.

I think only one State (New Hampshire) today doesn't require use of seat belts. Guess it comes from that "Live Free or Die" motto you see on their license plates.

I got more of the details, driver survived and had his on, she was in the backseat . Took a curved way too fast assuming alcohol was involved. She was a good kid, I say kid I'm literally 30 years her senior. She has a side hustle for taxes, gueunuily good person

What's strange is the older I get the number gets higher. I've lost 12 different coworkers this way. Be safe.
