You think Al is going fire his for giving up a few points?

I think you actually have to murder someone for Al to fire you.

Great point by OP. He learned from the biggest scumbag the sport has ever seen. A guy who actually died from humiliation.

However, I don't want that fat ****** playing the scapegoat card and getting the fringe morons back on his side. He's clearly proven that his fat greasy fingers are the ones wrapped around the dilation and curetage implements responsible for this abortion on UM.

He can't fire anyone because he's the problem and knows it. He won't scapegoat anyone.

It's actually admirable......

Just not at my school.

Someone say rape?

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but recent rumors out of UM show an irrational, bordering on incomprehensible, loyalty by Al Golden to his DC, Mark D'Onofrio. No funny names for them here, because this is serious.

As alluded to earlier, Golden's mentor, Joe Paterno, didn't bar Jerry Sandusky from athletic facilities despite all the evidence. This got me thinking...

Has Mark D'Onofrio ever given a sworn deposition on what he knows about Sandusky's behavior and action? The Second Mile? Remember, Sandusky was D'Onofrio's coordinator when D'Onofrio was at Penn St. He also would have been the guy, along withe Paterno, to recommend D'Onofrio for his first coaching gig in '99, SEVEN years after D'Onofrio's NFL career ended, and coincidently enough, the year Sandusky retired.

What does Al Golden know and when was he ever deposed or was he ever deposed on Sandusky's actions? His behavior when it comes to Penn State and other negative situations is quite curious, like he is almost afraid to say something which would incriminate him, even when the topic apparently has nothing to do with football. His constant deflecting of criticism of D'Onofrio and the floated "rumor" of discord between them are more examples of him trying to make the topic anything but D'Onofrio (including throwing players under the bus).

Golden supporters flame away, but is there something way beyond Coral Gables which is controlling Golden's actions? Golden supporters always bring up that he was "blindsided" by Shapiro, but has Miami been blindsided by Sandusky connections unknown to them? Another victim is asking for a new Sandusky trial and Tom Corbett is soon to lose governor's office protections. Isn't it time some of our local media start asking Golden why he protects D'Onofrio so much and FOLLOWS UP with questions asking about Sandusky involvement?

Something very strange is going on and it may lead to Spanier, Corbett and who knows who else, BUT ONLY IF THE MEDIA IS WILLING TO FIND OUT THE EXTENT OF THE PEDOPHILE'S COVER-UP. Children were horribly tortured by this monster, don't we need to know the identity of ALL his enablers?

Not a clue in the world if any of that is true, but keep stuff like this coming guys

The more venom we can create, the better.

so what you're saying that just maybe AG and Coach No D was one of those kids getting molested by the ole coach?

Ped State has tainted everyone associated with it. Goldie & Dorito have a deep, deeper, deepest, relationship (not that there's anything wrong with that, wink wink, nudge nudge). Ordinarily, I'd say to wait for a careful, paced, but deep, deeper, deepest investigation, lest we be premature. However, these are hard times. Butt(sp?) times will be even harder yet, if these two dufuses hang around, even one more semester. So, after careful probing and deliberate thought, the only solution is to neuter them now, and let the ****s fall where they may.

No offense but this is a reach beyond all reaches. Golden played college ball there. Sandusky was molesting children not college players. Golden isn't firing D'no because he's a terrible coach and that's all. The only reach should be maybe he isn't firing him because he himself wants to be fired. Sandusky related? Come on man.

This guy doesn't get it

No, but what did Mark D'Onofrio do for a living between '93 and his first coaching gig in '99? Did he work at the Second Mile? Did Sandusky give a strong endorsement for him to get the job in return for silence? What about Golden's role in this and who recommended him? Does Al Golden's personnel file at Miami include a Paterno recomendation letter? Was Al "detailed" by somebody at Penn State to keep D'Onofrio's silence?

Look, when somebody acts the way Golden acts toward D'Onofrio, it goes beyond a workplace Supervisor/Subordinate, off the job friendship. Al appears to be is torpedoing what little career he has left over D'Onofrio, be it this year or next. The question is WHY?
