Golden's job in jeopardy (IT BEGINS)

All that site has been doing is reading these boards. Nothing new there

This.

Unless the wheels fall off and we end up with a losing record, Golden will get one more year. He'll be forced to fire D'Onofrio and Coley and bring in some new blood, and if results don't come next year, he'll be done.
Golden will not fire Dorito. I don't think he will fire any of his staff members but that's more iffy. He definitely would never fire Dorito.

Golden won't have a choice in the matter.
He will throw that son of a ***** under the bus so fast you will think he is Obama.

If nothing else Golden needs to stop coaching as if he has a free pass. He doesn't seem to have any urgency when it comes to this team and acts as if he is here for life. He needs a fire out under his ***. Maybe he panics and starts actually trying different things? Maybe he succeeds? Unlikely but the guy is just way too mother****ing comfortable. I think that's what bothers me about him most.

He wont have to. The decision will be made for him, and it will be easy on Golden. James will be the "bad guy". They will tell him, "resign and go pursue other opportunities or we fire you". Dorito can then go, or get sh*tcanned. Golden will not be able to save him. Same with Coley. Golden's hands are tied there anyway. If he has another mediocre or subpar season, his own @ss is in hot water, so he will have NO leverage to push back on the AD. James will just smile and say "you want to walk, and scrap your buyout? Go ahead". Golden isn't stupid, he's not going to **** away millions of dollars for his buddy. Honestly, Golden walking after another bad season would be the BEST thing UM could hope for. It would free up a lot of money to try to entice a new HC. If we have to **** can Golden, UM will be in a bind depending on how many years are left on that contract and what the buyout is.

If we can't identify a young innovator, I'd call David Cutcliffe. I know it hasn't really been talked about here, but I think this would be a choice that satisfies all parties involved.

this would be a beast hire. I'd take butch over him but Cutcliffe is no slouch. Just didn't think he'd be available nor want to move here when his team can beat ours

of course Op would cite some BS website with no substance lol..

Butch whos been irrelevant for almost a decade now but you know circlejerk circlejerk

WHY NOT HOUSTON NUTT????????????????????

I swear people have a short memory. When Butch was here people were complaining about his game day coaching and wasting Time outs for not being prepared lmao. He could recruit but was bad on game day. No thanks on Butch unless he wants to come as DC (not likely) lol. No Monkey boy unless DC (too proud) and no thanks on Mario. Chud would be great IMO heck even Mark Stoops has Head coaching experience and he is a good D coach.

I would prefer giving Chud a shot with Butch as DC and maybe Dorsey OC. But Cutcliffe certainly would be an improvement. Dude can coach QBs.

Chud got a raw deal in Cleveland, he could possibly bring in Dorsey with him as a possible QB coach and future OC.

"He's a douche. No one on offense trusts him." Text from a player regarding Rob Chudzinski. #Browns

The prior offensive coordinator (Chud)really was positioning himself to just apply for that head coaching job," Smith said at the time. "I think our offense suffered a little bit because of that.

"At times, we got cute. We did things that weren't necessarily us, like the under-utilizing of [running back] Mike Tolbert. But we're out of that. The past is the past."

A agree with the anonymous Browns player......douche.

doesnt mean anything there were players who supported him too on the browns like dqwell jackson

I would really have to see this happen to believe it. Short of a catastrophic 4-8 record, I just don't see him getting canned. They'll give him the ol make changes or else and give him one more year.

Which is retarded bc you're just delaying the inevitable. But coral gables bought him hook line and sinker and it'll take quite a bit to admit they ****ed up, again.

Schiano and Mario would be absolute total failures. Might as well give them hammers when they sign the contract so they can get to work putting the final nails in the our coffin.

Chud? Maybe.

Stoops? Why? Win a conference game first at least.

Butch.

Here is a post I had from a few days ago:

List (A) [Coaches with HC Experience]

1. Chud
2. Mark Hudspeth
3. Josh McDaniels
4. Lovie Smith (was interested in the USC job)
5. Jim McElwain
6. Raheem Morris

List (B) [Coaches with no HC Experience]

1. Rhett Lashlee
2. Justin Wilcox
3. Tom Herman
4. Nathaniel Hackett
5. Dan Quinn
6. Kyle Shanahan
7. Jake Spavital
8. Josh Heupel
9. Pep Hamilton

List (C) [Coaches to watch if our Admin doesn’t make the necessary move this year]

1. Kevin Wilson
2. Bob Diasco
3. Rod Carey

in sports reporting, you can only talk about the numbers so much before people's eyes glaze over. creating rumors and then reporting on them makes good copy.

now, having said that....I think Butch or Schiano would be preferable.

what we're chasing here is hope, you see?

thing that would be good with chud is that he is a true X and O's guy that can coach quaterbacks, the unknown is his recruiting.

He is familiar with the area. I think if you pair him with Coley (token OC), it would be a great combination. Coley isn't getting a serious OC job after his performance here and he could stand to benefit learning from Chud.

The only choice is Butch, he will make us dominant in the trenches again. That's what we NEED.

Btw in sports never wrapped your head one way and say things can't happen. It happens too many times. There is no way they are not reevaluating what Golden is doing here. No way. Not saying he is gone or even close. No way they would fire till maybe close to season's end. But am sure they are keeping a close eye on things.
