Golden supporters

Md has a point, but only to a point. The team takes on the reflection of the coaching it receives. Yeah, they missed tackles, didn't set the edge, didn't get off blocks...or do anything fundamentally sound. So, yeah, the players ****ed up...over and over. But, the coaching staff is failing to get the players to play anywhere near the level that they're capable of playing, and they're failing to keep the players from ****ing up. A well-coached team will at least be fundamentally sound, even if they lose games to better teams. That is not us.

I understand that but once you go through reps at practice and in the film room and in the weight room then you come on saturday and just show up when does it become the players fault?! And i KNOW these coaches are trying to prepare these kids the best they can. What was the one repetitive thing every player echoed this offseason? "We trust the scheme and we trust the coaches"

One day you will meet a real man...his name will be

Butch Davis

**** Golden and **** Kaaya until he shows massive improvement. Every year I watch other teams have good quarterback play and wonder why none of these top level recruits see our talent and want to come win in Miami.

Where are you guys? Show yourselves cowards. Your hero's defense is getting abused and has made absolutely no adjustments.

SHOW YOURSELVES ****ES

Al has some definite strengths as an administrator and public face for the program. But, game time adjustments? Flexibility? Out coaching? Oh........

Another poster called it. The bot should dismiss D'Nofrio.

If Al stays we can get a new coach for a 3-4. It's not the scheme as a concept it's how is run under coach d.

If Al leaves we don't have to pay his buy out.

IMO I think Al would resign. He's that inflexible.

Kaaya? You bash a true freshman who threw for over 300 yds on the road before the largest home crowd in neb history?

He's already better than the last two QBs we had.

Some things are terribly wrong with this program but this kid is gonna be an all American

I cautiously supported golden until this game. This is the year of showing something really progressive, not the same old let downs were used to. I understand the mopes now. There's no point in celebrating trash wins against FAMU and ark st when you know this team won't accomplish anything under this **** head coach. I am the mope.

We've been on this end of the stick before. Oh, man -- many, many times, under Bo Pelini. UCLA, Ohio State, Wisconsin, those guys and more took us to the 'shed, as we did tonight.

Good game to you guys. I saw a Miami team that appeared to be talented, well-coached, and bringing the heat all night. I'm looking forward to the rematch next year. And, maybe I'm biased, but you guys simply got beat by a very good Nebraska team that is hitting on all cylinders right now. It's been a long road for us to get here, but with the veteran leadership we have now, this Huskers team is on another level compared to previous years.

So, keep your heads up and stay with it. You might be here in a few seasons, too. That freshman QB of yours has impressive poise, and an OL willing to fight for him.

lol

I dont think there are any more supporters. I know I'm on the fire Al Golden train now.

kaaya is a true freshman that came in may. he's already light years better than he was labor day night. ur a dumbass if u think he was gonna be peyton manning from day 1 in his true freshman year. growing pains is what u expect out of an 18 year old. he's shown flashes of a great future already tho.

Not a Golden supporter but are you kiddin me?! All that "ra-ra" bullsh!t the players out there doing and they play like horse **** and youre trying to blame Golden. They averaged 8 yards every 1st fckin down dumbass..Al Golden cant coach and run on the field and tackle Abdullah too..these players played like a$$ straightup..

Lmao you're a ****ing idiot if you think this ins't on Golden. Who's defense is this? Who's alignments are these? Who's personnel groupings are these?

Our kids are out there showing heart, getting smacked and not backing down or taking any ****. They deserve more than this bull**** coaching staff.

This. What finally did it for me was us totally getting punked out on 2nd and 3rd down at the beginning of the 4th quarter. We had just shown some heart and fight during that scuffle and had a chance to get back in the game with a TD. Then we got owned with two terrible plays in a row.

Thank you Al Golden for leading us through the NCAA mess. Bye.

This. It's not unheard of for one guy to weather a storm and to do some good things, all while getting it ready for the next guy.

Take Ron Zook, for example. Zook wasn't a terrible hire, because NO ONE was going to fill the shoes of Steve Spurrier. Instead, he built the roster back up with **** good recruiting, only to step aside and let a better coach win a national title.

Fat Al, you're our Zook. Thanks for the staying through the NCAA mess, thanks for bringing in talent. We can take it from here now, thank you.

And here I thought Golden was out Kiffen when he was our Zook?!

Makes a WHOLE lotta sense.

How did Golden "lead us through the NCAA mess"?

He got outrecruited and outcoached, and we got blown out. I could have "led us through the NCAA mess" by losing.

Is this a joke? The program could have completely imploded with the wrong guy running the show. I would rather be complaining about 8-4 than wondering if we would even field a team going forward.

We're not going 8-4

We were 8-4 last year after getting through the NCAA crap. But thanks for your concern.

Got out recruited? Did your silly **** forget that we were pretty much going to get the death penalty had the NCAA not screwed up? He did a fine job with PR during the NCAA mess. He was getting negative recruited left and right and still pulled in pretty good classes. And those good classes are the reason I want his **** fired, because he hasn't done jack squat with them. But to say he didn't do a good job handling the negative media and everything that was associated with it is asinine. Look I'll help pay for his plane ticket out of town but I still give the guy credit where credit is due.

I have been a Golden supporter more because he was the head coach of The U and I love The U more than anything. But I have reached my breaking point. I would love to see The U winning again, but I just don't see that happening under this staff.

+1
