Golden Supporters: How do you explain this?

3rd and 2

Have you ever seen anything like this before?

Final TD of the game. Louisville ran playaction. Bush bit on it and Christian was open. As stupid as that looks, Bush was in perfect position to see Christian who wasn't even pretending to block and he let him run right past him.

I showed the same thing against K State two years ago, this is nothing new. Short yardage and goal line we are always out numbered. Pee wee coaches even know this , it's pathetic .

More proof this staff is clueless.

Remember the ND game?

Same ****.

The two guys in the back came sprinting in to tackle the running back who didn't have the ball. So, naturally, Louisville threw it to a wide open receiver.

Clearly these 3 are forming a human triangle for various theorems in one of Donofrio's super secret geniuses only defensive scheme.

THIS is the bull**** I railed about all last year and it continues. We're creating mismatches for the other team. Why do we not have a goalline/short yardage package on defense? It's mind blowing stupidity.

How were we lined up a couple seconds pre snap on that 4th and one deep in his own territory that Petrino converted? Looked like we were in prevent or never got out of punt return and didn't bother calling a time out to get prepared.

Why do we stay in base defense when the other team uses 3 WRs?

Why do we rush 3 280lb DL on passing downs and drop McCord into coverage?

Why does Chad Thomas play 3 snaps?

Why does Golden exist on this ******* planet?

The DBs weren't settled and Gunter missed the back in the hole. Even if he tackles him he gets the first down.

4 years in and our defense is still scrambling like roaches pre-snap to get lined up. Horrible job preparing them.

Thing is, even without these stills or analysis or rewatching the game, my eyes tell me all I need to know during the game.

What I mean is that in every game we play, it literally appears that we're playing with 8 or 9 on defense, while the other team's defense seems to have 13 on the field. It honestly seems that way. And the results play out accordingly. It's that simple to me.

How Many points did the defense surrender??????? Redzone and 3 down conversions is what killed us......if you gonna criticize be fair

Thanks. Might be a good idea to either be lined up and ready for a 4th and one in UL territory or get a time out. I remember seeing giant gaps on that play pre snap.

Annnnnnd there is only 10 guys out there. Our coaches suck so effin bad.

Not sure what the purpose of this thread is in regards to Monday night. I suppose it is fun to look at a few pictures and criticize the scheme, but the reality is the defense had 4 sacks (equivalent to the total in the previous 4 games) gave up 336 total yards and Louisville averaged 3 yards per rush.

It's irrelevant now but everyone who was down on the defense was predicting 500+ yards because Petrino vs Doritos was no contest.

James Coley lost the game, coupled with some boneheaded mistakes from a few players.

The defense played well enough to win and that was the case only in about 4 games last year, none of them the losses Miami had.

The offense was atrocious.

That is a short yardage/goal line package but the alignment is ****ed up.

so the guys 7 yards back have to make a major move upfield to get any shot at cleaning up a run play...if there is playaction these two guys are ****ed.

Just zero room for error since these guys have to run hard and fast at the RB to have any chance of cleaning up the play if it is a handoff.

To give you a contrast:

almost identical packages on both sides of the ball to the miami play. the contrast in the alignment is staggering.
