Sure the formation looks terribly wrong, but truth be told, the defense was not the reason we lost AT ALL. That defense game up only 366 yards of total offense and I use the word "only" in confidence because they were left out to dry as the offense only converted JUST 1 FIRST DOWN. Thats also against a Pertrino offense. That's impressive.

Yes they made some plays and kept us in the game for a while in spite of the offense. However, some of that has to do with UL not having Parker and Dyer, a brand new QB, etc. This wasn't a crowning achievement for Dorito.

How does any UM fan look at that and not vomit? It's inconceivable.

The irony here is that it goes hand in hand with our offensive play calling. We line up in that same offensive formation as Louisville is in, apparently with the hope that the other team's defensive coordinator will line up like Donofrio's. But, of course, they stack 10 defenders in the box, and we get stuffed in the backfield.

It's as if we are protecting against the possibility of an audible to a pass without disguising the defense.

Corching vs coaching

we can't and I'm sick of him. I supported him the past three years with the cloud and the "bad" players, but sick like this is just sickening.

What's the deal with staying in base defense when the offense has 4 WRs on the field? Our experienced, talented DBs got all them teeth but no toothbrush.

Literally just had a coworker look in to see what I was laughing at.

as a recruiting rival it would probably behoove my interests for this staff to stay in place but you guys need a coaching staff. Not new OC and DC...the entire staff. For a head coach that is supposed to be a defensive guy there is just no excuse for the elementary mistakes. Just complete butchering of the most basic concepts of football. It is inexcusable.

I like a lot of the guys that post on here and I feel bad for you guys. Seriously. This not fun. Went through a 4 win season last and it was awful and sucks the entertainment right of saturdays. Our coach may prove to be ****** as well, but i am happy that he is at least competent (great actually) on his side of the ball and realized his offensive mentality is a failure and needed a drastic change (no huddle spread). In your case you can't even trust your HC with his "specialty" and I can't imagine the frustration.

Anyone associated with Golden should be gone. It's a mentality that he has spread through our entire team.

So mother****ing tired of hearing about how it effects recruiting. It's a ******* **** of a lot easier to find a guy that can recruit South Florida than it is to find a good head coach. Coley is a great recruiter? Big ******* deal. Golden is a good recruiter? Big ******* deal. You know who recruits well? Guys that win.

.

I know there are some people who don't want to let our staff go because of the impact on our recruiting class. But what's the point of getting these kids if they won't be put in a position to win? Wouldn't you rather win and let that momentum carry over to recruiting rather than keep losing with this staff and have to deal with the notion that you can't win at Miami and lose guys anyway? Keep Ice, Hurlie, Baez and Bearden. I would keep Carroll and Scott because I think they've done okay. **** can the rest.

My wife even made note of the odd formations. She said: "they look like they don't have enough players on the feild." Bout sums it up...

hire a good coach and the recruiting will be fine. Always lose a few during transition but rarely does an entire class fall apart. A new coach often saves the current class and then gets a nice bump the following year.

It is muuuuuch better for recruiting than a ****** product remaining and kids start thinking it will continue. That will destroy a class a lot worse.

Sorry, but that is not impressive at all. That team that humiliated UM was a neutered bunch of noobs with a QB in his first game, missing key pieces. I'm old enough to recall when UM would routinely hold a Mickey Mouse operation like that to under 200 yards. Honestly, did the D play well enough to win. ABSOFUGGINLUTELY. But let's not pretend that was Oregon out there. L-Ville is not a great team.

Smh nothing will change guys. This is nothing new. They have been doing this since they got here. They DL is in a offensive lineman stance so they won't fire off the ball but just hold up space I presume. This is anti Miami ****. Hopeless
