looking over the past two years now that we have a real coach getting real top flight guys looking at us makes you realize Golden sucked! The last two classes are filled with 2&3 stars. This roster needs a lot of help and this class is huge in the turnaround!

did it really take you this long to realize this? plenty of room on the Richt train

I knew last year was bad and did know we missed on a ton of big names but didn't realize it was that awful. I haven't followed recruiting as closely the past couple of years. Kinda just looked at rankings at at the end. I spent 10 years following this stuff for it not to matter and Miami just lose anyways. Now I find myself once again caring about what Richt is doing.

Been tellin folks this for years.

I personally go back to Grassy with recruiting to the late 1990s. Back then for $15 they would send you 12 page newspaper like edition of their recruiting articles 4 times a year.

Ancient at best........

You ain't ever lied... now for these other porsters... well

Biggest misses have been at cb and rb. We had big misses at DT but none of them have panned out anyways. Bostwick, bain, valentine, and bryant have all flopped. But with Artie leaving our CB depth and quality is our biggest concern going into next yr IMO.

Yes. everyone knew that we missed out on tons of local recruits that went to other schools which is why he is no longer the coach. Richt will dramatically improve our recruiting and hopefully player development.

While golden missed out on a ton our roster still has a bunch 4star or higher players, do we need more? Obviously

Good thing you looked back at it. Never been discussed here before. No one would have realized without your historic review that our talent level and recruiting has been down. Come on mane....let it go.....he came....he failed....he gone.

Richt Era

My problem isn't the elite kids that he missed out on, it's the lower ranked kids that he put too much value in, as well as his poor evaluations of local (3-star) kids who were ballers.

It sucks to miss on the big time kids but you can still win games at Miami if you evaluate the lower ranked kids properly. South FLA is that loaded with talent.

Exactly. A competent staff still could have averaged 10 wins per season with Golden's classes though- especially in the Coastal.

Not if you're al.
