Golden presser - 9/2 - Sports Buzz summary

### I asked Golden if he could confirm a web site report that that defensive end Al Quadin Muhammad was suspended. Golden declined to say if that was true. "It was my decision not to play him," he said.

This just infuriated me.

If he's suspended, just tell us he's ******* suspended!

Don't act like you didn't play your best OLB for no ******* reason you scumbag, piece of ****.

Just speculation on my part:

Maybe AQM did something fairly bad. Golden wants to keep the wraps on it, by not formally suspending him he hopes it won't get out.

Only thing I can think of.

Dude told us he was going to play, has him travel and sit there taking up space on the sidelines.

Im sorry, but the stuff about the offense is Coach Speak for "Coley ****ed up and Im not happy about the offense he ran".

The big question is what can/will he do about it??

Hiring Coley was a big gamble. Dude was very inexperienced. Great recruiter but not much depth on the X and O side.

Yet the guy is at the helm of this offense. Not sure how this gets fixed.

Academic and medical reasons are not public info and the player has a right to privacy. Golden is following protocol. However, don't know why he would be traveling to the game. Just leave it blank why he stayed home.

Well, we finally have a couple of DTs....now we need an OC. Christ.

On AQM I suspect, and there have been rumors that it could be an Academic issue. One thing I have been worried about is it could be some kind of academic dishonesty/cheating type allegation. I remember when AJ was nailed for that and suspended. The whole AQM thing seems to be something that he's obviously done wrong and they are trying to keep quiet.

***** AL GOLDEN!

I give ZERO FVCKS what this **** has to say. GTFO of my beloved program you ******* Penn St. pfheghett!!!!

Everyone else's fault by Al's.

He tells his OC's what style of offense he wants. He did it with Fisch. He has final say, but of course you must absolve him of all wrong doing.

Oh, if anyone was wondering, the defense allowed 4.73 yards per play, which would currently be tied for 53rd best in the country after week 1.

I guess 53rd is elite?

Easy. Tell him he can be a position coach if he wants to stay on the staff. If he feels another school will hire him to run their offence, then you let him go. He's not a D1 coordinator. I have more faith in Coach D than I do Coley, and that's saying something, because I have little faith in him as well.

the word elite mentioned in that article by golden just blew my ****ing mind

Yea, we were "elite" against a team without its top RB, WR, and breaking in a brand new QB in a new system. Now theres something to be proud of boys!

Jesus, Al must think we're all retarded.

Yeah. I forgot about that. Golden was asked point blank if AQM would play and Golden said "definitely" or something along those lines. Then two days later he decides not to play AQM? Golden is a lying piece of ****.

Sounds like it could be a serious academic issue with AQM.

Oh GIVE ME A BREAK DUDE, now AG is calling the offensive plays too??

Look, I have agreed and given the dude grief over the defense. I am absolutely sure that he has a BIG hand in this defense, and it lays at his feet. And as the HC, Coley was HIS hire, and inevitably this all comes down on his head either way, but for a coach to say that in a presser, is pretty much a shot at his OC that he was not happy with the playcalling last night.

Coley was hired down here with the agreement that he was going to call his own plays, in contrast to FSU, where Jimbo was calling the shots. AG could have said whatever, "lets keep things simple, or lets protect Brad", etc... that doesn't change the HORRIBLE playcalling and mind boggling stupid calls and formations Coley trotted out.

This isn't about making excuses for AG, but we are discussing his presser, and by his own words it seems he is pretty disgusted with the way the offense was called last night, as well he SHOULD be. Now the question is, WHAT, if anything, can he, or will he do about it.

As for the defense, it was NOT spectacular, but a lot of teams also opened up with cupcakes their first week. I mean you guys slur Bobby Petrino like he's the offensive genius of the century, so I would think that defensive performance would have been an improvement over what was expected.

F*CK. Sounds like academic fraud. What I was afraid of. Maybe they can suspend him for a bit like they did with AJ back in 2000/2001. But being on probation right now, this could get really unfortunate.

4.73 if it held up all year would be top 15 most seasons.

Again not defending Golden, D'O or anything but it pretty common for D results to be extremely skewed early in the season because most teams play cupcakes.

I'd snap take 4.7 ypp for the rest of the season. Would have been top 10 nationally last year.

-Fact, Penn St fans are clowning us; thanking their AD for not hiring Al Golden.
-Fact, Al Golden is loyal to a fault even to his own scheme which is derailing our program
-Fact, Al Golden is starting to lose his players; rumblings after the Duke game last year from Duke Johnson and Philip Dorsett along w/ Tracy Howard last night. If he doesn't grow some nuts, it's going to be a wrap for our season.
-Fact, Al Golden is a smooth talker, sure, but I noticed he never allows a question to be completed when asked of him when it's a poignantly attributed to his coaching decisions. Signs of defensiveness and it shows a lack of humility to find fault in his own coaching errors.
-Fact, Al Golden will still be here next year, REGARDLESS, of what this team does. The excuse will be, "we were young." Excuses are tools of the incompetent used to build momuments of nothingness." Al's excuses shows how incompetent he really is as being the guy in charge.

tell me this assewhole, what would you like to have back, because there's phucking plenty to choose from

i also think his hands are tied for position coaches because donna doesnt want to spend.
