Al was fired up today. Guy definitely sees the big picture, and knows what it takes to make a program a contender. I agree with those that say he did not realize just how big of a mess we were in when we came here, and that has nothing to do with the Shapiro ****. I'm sure Al thought he was coming to Miami with a really talented team that he could shape up and make a title run relatively soon. Instead, he's basically having to start from the groundwork up like he was at Temple again. Luckily though, the brand name and talent base is much, much better- but it's still going to take a few years to get where we should be.
It's clear that the Seantrel's of the world are driving me crazy. I'm fairly certain that if his name was not accompanied by 5 stars and national fanfare (not to mention-talent), he would be dismissed but I don't think Al wants to bring any semblance of negative news to the Canes unless his hand is forced.
