Golden makes excuses in recent interview

To be honest, if I had known the "brick by brick" process was going to take this long I would have never jumped on this guys bandwagon. ****, where is his media etiquette for christs sake? Even if you feel that way, dont come out and say the **** you dumba$$! Fans dont want to hear this after we got beat by UL AGAIN and came out against FAMU and looked underimpressive. At least LIE to us every once in awhile!

Just once I'd like to hear Golden say, "We're ready to accept the challenge. We have everything we need to win the ACC."

He's a *****. No surprise this team plays scared. They have no confidence.

Al is no different that any other coach with his quotes ... It's not "excuses" ... It's "coach-speak".

If we won more, people would get it.

Here are a couple of Nick Saban gems:

"If I was happy with them, we wouldn't have summer conditioning, we would not have fall camp, we wouldn't have 30 practices to get ready for our first game against Virginia Tech. We'd just pack it in and say, 'All right, let's go to Atlanta and play the game.' We're not there yet."

"I really do feel like we have a lot of the components to develop as a team," Saban said. "I don't think we are where we need to be. I think too many people (are) too comfortable with their position. That, to me, does not lend itself to great competition or being a great competitor.

"Your preparation, your ability to play with consistency, your ability to pay attention to detail, get the little things right, you don't inherit that. That's something you've got to earn."

Those could be taken from a Golden script. But because we don't win enough, people think he's making excuses. He's not ...

Now, he might not ever be the guy to lead the program back to prominence ... But folks should chill with the "he makes excuses, stuff". Beyond the "cloud" references, he steps up for blame. "It starts with me", or "I'm responsible". What else do y'all want him to say?

I don't want him to say ****. I want him to leave. Saban backs up his coach-speak with on the field product. Golden hasn't produced **** in 4 ******* years. Other than a catastrophic lack of preparation and ****-poor performance against any team with a pulse.

The place was in shambles 4 years ago when he took over.

The only thing that can get built overnight is a house of cards.

Let's just see what he can do with the 6 years left on his contract.

Did you see how many kids went pro on Golden's first year? Shambles?

Fair enough ...

I get it ...

Don't do interviews ... Get grief from fans for "no showing".

Do interviews ... Get grief from fans for giving normal coach-speak.

Do interviews ... Don't say anything on the subject ... Get grief from fans for not saying anything of substance, avoiding subjects, not saying what fans want to hear.

So, no matter what ... Get grief from fans.

LOL

... He doesn't win enough, so ANYTHING and EVERYTHING he does will be annoying.

It's not that we lost, I expect losses we don't have a few things in place. It's how we lose. It's the lack of changes, game planning and prep. I'd still be mad at losing, they should too. The coaching staff never adjusts to personnel or the competition. They just repeat the same **** over and over and act confused when it doesn't work. No reason we couldn't win against Louisville. 1st year HC, DC, new system, loss of many key players including QB. Yet we run Duke into the stacked box 6 times in a row with no success, and they just stand there like idiots instead of changing it up. That's what I can't stand. Then he comes out and talks about clouds and not being there yet. That's going to **** me and a bunch of other people off. If they tried changing it up, did their best, and actually COACHED... well that would be different. They don't. They never out-coach an opponent. Name one game where you felt coaching led to victory vs raw talent and speed just winning out.

Go back to last year vs VT. Coaching LOST that game. One of the worst VT teams in recent memory, and we lost to them because our coaches are not winners. They're whiners.

Overnight? It's been four years of us getting embarrassed by mediocre teams lol

Oh lord this is coach speak in response to the opposing coach's comment. I'm sure they'd like to see strength and explosion numbers improve in areas. BFD.

Riiiiiiiiiigggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhttttttttt. Let's give this staff 6 more years. Great idea! maybe he can run it completely into the ground and we can start the rebuild from a crater this time. Jezuz H.

No I wasn't. The last thing we need is to start over again. What the U needs is stability. The man has built a strong foundation.

I'm not saying we give him another extension, but at least let him coach through his current extension.
