With Al Golden's unearned fifth year on the horizon making many fans feel completely apathetic about the upcoming season, let's look ahead to the most important topic surrounding this program. Go on record with your predictions about who our head coach will be in 2016.

Option A - Either Al Golden or Mario Cristobal

Option B - Anyone else

Option A basically involves one of the following scenarios coming to fruition over the next several months...

- Miami shocks the college football world by winning 10 games and beating FSU or Clemson in the ACC Championship. This is about as likely as any CIS or WEZ poster getting to t1tty**** Emily Ratajkowski.

- Golden "leads" Miami to a middle-of-the-pack finish in the ACC Coastal in yet another season during which we fail to accomplish anything meaningful. But we'd technically be improved from last year's disgraceful 6-7 finish if we win 7, 8, or even 9 games. The administration tries to sell this as trending upward. #SWAG16 loses most of its blue-chip talent after we lose to FSU/Clemson and fail to even appear in the ACC Championship Game yet again. We tread water as an irrelevant program. The heads of most Miami fans explode.

- We have a similar or worse record than last year's 6-7 finish, but the administration proves yet again that they don't care about UM football by retaining Golden for a sixth season. Basically a repeat of what we all experienced last December/January, with an even more disastrous close to a recruiting cycle and some of us being driven even further into figurative insanity.

- Golden is finally fired either during or immediately following the 2015 season. The administration goes with the most predictable, lazy, uninspiring, and cheap candidate imaginable (Cristobal) to be Golden's successor. Some feel satisfied that it's anyone other than Golden and praise Cristobal's recruiting prowess. Others despise the hire and point out that it will be a far different world recruiting as the head coach here than it was while working under Nick Saban at a no-nonsense, perennial national title contending SEC program that demands excellence, offers a top-notch game day atmosphere, and spares no expense when it comes to upgrading facilities.

Option B represents anything else happening. Which option do you predict? And if you choose Option B, who do you think will be our next head coach?

Mark Stoops will be the next head coach of the Miami Hurricanes.

Not inside info just my opinion.

It's as simple as this acc championship or bust and let's get a new coach. If he does when then he needs to bring in a top 5 class.

I'm hoping Butch Davis, not sure the powers that be are smart enough to do it tho.
I'm going with...... Chud

He has been away from the college to game to long as far as recruiting goes. Most of the coaches that leap to the NFL hate recruiting to begin with especially when they see how much more demanding it is as far being that vs a NFL coach. Give me Ed orgeron, Mario Cristobal or lane liffin if golden doesn't get it done. Recruits absolutely love them especially oregeron and would have the defense playing like Miami did back in the day

Dead at your list of coaches. You named three coaches that have absolutely mediocre records as head coaches.

Lane Kiffin? The guy that got fired midway through the season and kicked off the bus who was such a cancer that his team ended up winning the rest of their games I believe cause he was finally gone.

Mario Cristobal? The guy who had the most talented team in his conference and racked up a whopping 27-47 win/loss record and a final season record of 3 wins and 9 losses.

Ed Orgeron? At Ole Miss his win loss record was an outstanding 10-25. Sure he won 6 games with the Trojans but you really think he can run a football program. That program that he won 6 games with didn't want to retain him as head coach yet somehow you think he'd be a great fit at Miami.

Either you are really young and dumb or you're football IQ is on DBC levels. Get it together Brock

Stoops is an interesting name. Curious to see how Kentucky does in his third year there.
I think his time at Miami makes him attractive to the powers that be and he now has head coaching experience and seems to be well regarded in terms of how he's managing that Kentucky program. Will definitely be interesting to see if he can do well this season. If he does I would be good with that hire if it were made.

Stoops intrigues me. His attitude and style of play fits Mia.

Good luck trying to pry him away from Kentucky.
Bring checkbook.

Mark stoops 7-17 yeah ok lol...

Like everyone who said he's intriguing in this thread pointed out, it's entirely contingent on how Kentucky does this season. Stoops inherited a 2-10 team in the SEC a couple years ago. If he gets them to 8 wins in the SEC within three years at a program that hasn't won more than 8 games in 30 years, then he absolutely becomes a potentially intriguing candidate. There's a world of difference between Stoops potentially winning 8 games in Year 3 at Kentucky and Golden possibly winning 8 in Year 5 at Miami.

If they fall flat on their face and fail to make a big jump, then forget him. Simple.

Yep, if you watched them play you'd feel the same way too. He actually plays teams with far better talent and plays them pretty **** well.Unlike your boyfriend al, who does the opposite .

By year four he'll have Uk winning 8-9 games a year , which is their ceiling .
