He's got a nice contract with UK.
And their expectation are for him to keep them respectable, with anything beyond that being a bonus. He can average 8 wins a season there, and stay forever!
Whether or not he leaves UK will be based on how important "winning it all" is to him. He's not winning the SEC at UK, but making $3.5MM per year to be 8-4 is a pretty good gig, IMO ...
And coming to Miami, where 8-4 is grounds for firing, may not be all that attractive ...

I think his time at Miami makes him attractive to the powers that be and he now has head coaching experience and seems to be well regarded in terms of how he's managing that Kentucky program. Will definitely be interesting to see if he can do well this season. If he does I would be good with that hire if it were made.Mark Stoops will be the next head coach of the Miami Hurricanes.
Not inside info just my opinion.
Stoops is an interesting name. Curious to see how Kentucky does in his third year there.
Stoops intrigues me. His attitude and style of play fits Mia.
Good luck trying to pry him away from Kentucky.
Bring checkbook.
