Did anyone have an issue with giving Heaps that much playing time yesterday? Will it really make a difference down the line with him if he's ever called upon? Why not use ALL of this time leading up to Nebraska to give Kaaya the most amount of game reps as possible? This only leads me to believe that Ryan Williams definitely won't be ready in 2 weeks. I personally would have preferred keeping Kaaya in all day yesterday and running a 4th quarter offense like it was a tie game- which it might be against Arky St.

Those should have been Olsen's reps. But, in the long run it's all irrelevant until we have a staff worth a ****.

Yup. You want Kaaya to get as much in game experience as possible so he can continue to improve because he's a true freshman that needs all the reps he can get. There really was no point in putting heaps in when you know what you have with him.

personally i would have kept kaaya in. He needs as much time as he can get to get down the offense in live game situations. Its only his second game of his career and he SHOULD have played the whole game yesterday. It wasnt any point in putting heaps in yesterday. You want to give kaaya as much experience as he can receive at this point.

Sounds like the kid has come in and worked butt off - no problem with him getting reps.

Kaaya hasn't looked comfortable for even a second. When that happens against FAMU, you must start checking out alternatives.

Yes. Waste of time having Heaps in there. Game day thread has my full views on the matter.

Yep, and if Olsen had taken care of his business instead of goofing off they would have been. Let's hope gets his focus because we could use his help if Kaaya struggles.

Heaps was worse than Kaaya, but I have no problem giving him shine garbage reps. He earned it. Seems like a nice kid and a good teammate.

Barring injury, it might be his last game action. Williams will be the QB by Nebraska. No doubt about it.
