Agreed. This isn’t flash in the pan stuff. Took a bit longer but the build out is sustainable because it’s based on culture and winning the line of scrimmage. Mario is cooking now.

Learn from all the other schools that are in the dump financially. HC salaries are so high you need to be smart about contracts and when and how long to give them for. I dnt see mario leaving us for anyone, so why rush anything. He is currently very fairly compensated. When the time is right, you extend 4years at a time. Some might hate on that timeframe but i wouldnt do contracts that you cant get out of without sinking the ship.

That, or a long term contract that is heavily slanted towards performance based comp. Get into the playoffs and make a run every year and yes you deserve to be the among the highest paid in America.
