Gibson marries Meyer

He may get coached up and turn into Vince Young. We should have gotten him, why?.....we should get all the talented south Florida players....every year regardless of position

“Brad Kaaya is doing well,” Torrance Gibson said. “[UM runs a] pro-set offense. My style is really spread, attack, in the shotgun. I have no problem getting under center every once in a while. Standing under there is really uncomfortable.

“Ohio State’s system fits me way better.”

Throw in Dwayne Lawson 400+ yards passing and another 100+ rushing and seven 7 TDs this past weekend, and you start thinking about Bryce Brown coming down and seeing Lamar Miller killing at Killian and just deciding that the comp wasn't worth it to come to join his bro...just as Torrance sees so much competition, not only from Kaaya, but he'd coming in WITH another and better passer in Torrance.

After that **** he pulled with the Miami hat, I don't want him anyway. That's just straight up disrespectful.
 
LULZ at the clowns who assume Irvin Meyers is going to play Gibson at QB. Meyers just did a better job selling Gibson than the puffy weasel did.

Meyers, as usual, walked Fat Boy Fat like the bloated, panting Cushing's Disease afflicted dog that he is. It's about as sad as it gets when a dude in Ohio can walk down into Fat Foldo's backyard and take whoever he wants from him whenever he wants. The motherfcker is in fcking goddam Ohio and takes who he wants from Foldo. Sad stuff when not only is fsu and ufayg whipping his fat *** but a dude in Ohio is also using him.

Not needed at QB here. He made a good decision for himself. He would have sat on the bench at UM until his senior year.

To his credit, Meyer won a national championship with a guy who didn't know how to throw the football. Gibson was never going to be a QB here. We have a pro-style offense. He's probably not going to be a QB at OSU either, but at least they could reasonably sell him the idea. There a ton of recruits to ***** about leaving south Florida. Gibson isn't one of them.

Nah. I think I'll bytch about losing a major game-changing talent from a backyard HS coached by a UM alum. I don't think it's good to keep losing all those major talents from our backyard and excusing it away with "well, we got other guys" or some other crap.

You think Lawson is a traditional pro-style QB? Are all the QBs FSU is acquiring traditional pro style guys because that's what they run. Or are they simply acquiring the best available talent and are willing to tweak their system or move guys around?

I'd rather Golden (or whomever is UMs coach) be straight with recruits, rather than lie to them to get them here. It's harder too win, while having integrity, but it can be done.
