Getting back into form

Only played a few snaps for most of last season due to injury. The motto was be ready when your number is called. This year the motto is leave it all on the field!!!

Really rooting for him, had so much talent out of highschool but just couldn’t stay healthy. A healthy Stead is big for our linebacker two deep.

He's a natural LB. The more he plays the better he'll get. As @waynejr31 said, he made plays in limited time last year, keep him on the field. He's all Cane!

Go Canes!

I think a lot of us forget that all of our LB’s except one or two played their first meaningful snaps in 2020. So that with the addition of coach Simpson, I think the group will be night and day better in 2021.

I completely agree. That's a great point about Coach Simpson. I hadn't thought about that. I think our LB's played best in his one year here. If I remember correctly, he's very focused on stopping the run. As much as I liked Stroud, I think we sacrificed our LB's with our focus on getting to the QB. An aggressive balance is possible and ideal. Now, I'm getting fired up for the season. Can't wait to see these Canes.

Go Canes!

Really need this kid to shine in 2021...he's definitely due. Looking forward to his arrival on the scene.

I have been telling #17 to build a relationship with his DL all off season. The more they understand what the other wants to do on any given play will make their lives so much easier. The ending result will be more plays like this:

Major pwnage there by Ford against the RG.

That containment by the edge

I sure hope so, pops. I'm sure they've watched the UNC game 100 times by now. But that was an abomination in terms of LB/DL communication. Whatever happened in that game, tell Steed to do the opposite!! Can't let inferior teams outsmart and out-will-power us.
