Gerald Willis

lol what? collins had the possible murder charge that held him back. oakman was under a rape charge during the draft. willis has a not so hot past (one that will hurt JT as well)

Collins was never a suspect and the police said that before the Draft. Oakman incident was a false accusation, and Willis didn’t have any problems his Senior or Junior year on the team and A weak fight that was started by that punk Mornhinweg is nothing serious.

The only logical reason that could explain how every NFL team would skip using a pick on any of those players is collusion. **** I’m smart :tedbong:

What his junior year? you mean the year he took away from football for personal reasons? Willis had a lot of personal off the field issues that is what hurt him, also reports he blew off interviews, was late, and had an attitude. Willis is super talented, but has issues.

About to be cut. One catch 2 weeks ago. Last week didn't even suit up. He is not injured. Sounds like he is gone.
That's too bad. Lesson to the guys that leave early to barely get drafted or UFA to work hard in school so if the NFL dream doesn't work out they can be like Braxton and have a great degree to fall back on.

He couldn’t have handled the pre draft process any worse and he hasn’t done himself any favors while in Baltimore

This is the thing that’s baffling to me. He played well all year, did what he was supposed to do, granted he skipped the bowl game but that’s not uncommon nowadays.

And then all of a sudden it’s like all that momentum you build establishing a good name and track record, and good play, went down the drain. It’s almost as if he sabotaged his own draft status.

what a shame. Guess he didn't learn too much from the past.... A little surprised his brother (half brother/stepbrother?) hasn't stepped in and shook him up a little

Sounds like this young man may have some behavioral issues that need tending too.

It appears he just doesn’t get it. Too bad — hopefully he gets the help or mentor he neefs to get him straight and prepare for life with or without football.

Put some of the blame on those ****boys over at last round management for not preparing him and making sure he takes care of business.

this is the **** that people say all the time about attorneys, agents or representatives to place the blame on them rather than on the client. if you don't know exactly what FRM did or did not do, WHICH YOU DON'T, then your statement is at best irresponsible. perhaps FRM told them him a million times do this, do that and he simply did whatever the f@ck he wanted to do as he is prone to do given his personality and character. place the blame on the client (willis) and not on the agent until you know for a fact that the agent f@cked up.

You’re irresponsible

Speculation fellas, all conjecture on our parts......we were not in any of these players head, so we can only guess as to reasons that MAY apply.
Let it play out, and good luck to all our Canes.

Willis was on the team his entire junior year

If this kid ever really figures it out mentally, he’d be a legit NFL starter. Sounds like he still has some issues.
