one interesting note is that Manny spoke highly of all defensive personnel when drafted or picked up as a UDFA, except Willis. I think he even took the opportunity to congratulate them via social media, except Willis. That should tell everyone something.

ESPN has an article guessing who will be left after the cut to 53 man rosters. I've been following some of our Canes and since a few weeks ago Willis was projected as a starter I was surprised he wasn't shown so I looked at the roster and his name is not there

I'm a long time Ravens fan & follow the team closely, if ESPN projected Willis to be a starter it was a mistake or an oversight on their part.

He was signed as an UDFA to be a depth guy in our system, the Ravens have Brandon Williams, Willie Henry at 3-tech DT & Chris Wormley/Zach Sieler at 5-tech DE ahead of him, plus drafted another DT Daylon Mack in the 5th round (he's a NT but can play 3-tech as well).

Unfortunately he hasn't played any snaps yet in preseason because he's been dealing with a calf injury for most of training camp.

He may not make the cut after the 4th preseason game tomorrow, but he could still sign on as a Practice squad player or get a shot elsewhere.
 
Jackson has balled out but is no lock to make the team. The Cowboys are stupid deep at dline. They have a couple of suspensions, but when those are up, they will have hard decisions to make.

Pierce lost that extra 90 pounds he gained in the offseason? I know a couple of his teammates from Samford and they said Harbaugh wanted to kill him when he first saw him

Yeah Michael Pierce got kicked out of Minicamp back in June for being overweight lol

But he's since slimmed down back to being close to around the 340lbs range he played at last year, he passed his conditioning test back in July & has been playing all preseason.

He's a beast NT for us, him & Brandon Williams are very stout vs the Run. This year is his contract year, so he's gonna ball out to get that 2nd contract.

Sounds like Duke Dawson who they drafted in the second round out of Florida in last years draft is getting cut from the Patriots.

That’s what was so insane that it’s his contract year and showed up like that. Dudes got so much talent
