UGA has the best stable of running backs in the country. And as Fromm gets better, that offense is going to get scary.

Their D is already filthy! They don’t miss tackles, and rarely make mistakes.

They can beat Bama because the UGA weakness is their DBs and pass rush. Bama can’t really exploit that.

UGA made the right move switching to Smart. He’s gonna keep them good for a long time. And as a graduate of that school ... He won’t be in a hurry to leave. They could, easily, have another 15 year run with the same HC.

And to the point of the OP ... He’ll yeah! CMR is gonna build this roster up nice! And when we have the horses, I like our chances.

Richt left them a loaded team. Pruitt was a savage as a DC who is now at Bama. The problem for UGA was that the qbs recruited didn’t pan out so Richt had to go to Washington to find one. GA rarely producers qbs in the state. This year is an unbelievable anomaly with fields, Lawrence, Williams etc
 
All i'm saying is don't sleep on Georgia.

I know the cool thing is to wish them failure and say Smart is a corch and all that but i'm not seeing it here.

They look very legit. The defense is nasty.

I think they head into the SECCG with one loss at the most. And then I think Bama is going to show them that there is no way in **** they're going to beat them with their QB only attempting 7 passes. It's not that I don't think UGA is a good team, but instead that they don't match up well with Bama imo.

Smart seams to be doing what Richt couldn’t do with a Richt recruited team in his 15 years there. The OP isn’t exactly comforting with that.

Exactly. Worthy of the "good" label. Those soooooo quick to call them "elite" either have an agenda or are falling for one.

Btw, if we both win our next two games then we jump them right? Right? Because Vag Tech is a better win than Auburn, Notre Dame is a common win and the rest of our schedule I bet is stronger. I won't hold my breath though.

won more games than all but 4 coaches ever in his first 15 years ? LMAO .Also Richt had 2 seasons that ended up in the top 5 . It was UGA and those fans had expectations way off base with who they are. Every time they had a sorta down season they knee jerked and made him fire someone he shouldn't or change a coach and it always messed up things. UGA's success this season is more of Richt then Smart . I have no idea if Smart will be a good coach or not ( I do think he probably will though ) . i never thought we get Richt but I always laughed at UGA fan for how they treated Richt. I do think after 15 or more years at one place a change can be good though.

THey will not beat Bama .Stop Georgia's run game and its over for them. Run defense is what Bama is geared for. Only stellar mobile qbs and great offensive coaching will beat Bama . That said Bama has had an easy schedule so far.

Bama's offense imo is mediocre. UGA could easily shut them down.

UGA also has the better RBs. Could be a good game.
 
They should.....for the last time most of their starters on both sides of the ball are jrs & srs. Kapish?

I always laugh when Miami fans think everybody else isn't that good. Georgia is **** good. They have a talented roster and a good staff.

Georgia would run up and down the field on Miami with that O-line and those backs.

I think a lot that is wishful thinking. Smart seems to have already put together the dominant team Right couldn't with a Right recruited team. Georgia fans should have high expectations. It a big time SEC program in a top 3 talent rich state with no instate competition. Let's see how Right does with his top 5 class though, we should look like a different team
 
The problem was at qb for uga. All the 4 star qbs havent pannedout the last 4 years.

i was a butch guy and not a richt fan but then i found out from people the back story in UGA. first off, prior to richt, uga football was basicically herschel walker and garrison hearst. it was never an elite program. second, he was apparently micro-managed extremely tight by the AD which makes sense because richt was near dominate prior to his arrival. The guy was an Aaron Murray blunder away from a NC game, however, its my understanding he was more an adminstrator than solely a coach. Also the AD approved his hires and forced him to play a certain style of "bulldog" football. I really thought he was a bit soft but hes proving me wrong. Im just hoping he finally gets us back to the top but lets be real, he was the best hire available.
