Agree, McCoy has always been a tackle. He was put at guard to get on the field, but his body type and athleticism has always been at tackle. I will say, no more cross training with him. If he’s gonna be the tackle, he has to get all the reps there during the off-season to be ready.

I think Ervin and Wilkerson can be all conference players inside. Merriweather Can put on a few more pounds but he has performed well playing guard in the SEC.

The more and more I read I think the OL will end up like this

LT - McCoy or Wlkerson
LG - Okunola
C - Buchanan (Rrod will be given first crack)
RG - Minaya or Meriweather
RT - Cantwell

I just don’t see SJ getting big enough to be the full time C. He looked like a Fullback.

Canon Pickett probably has to RS because of Injury.

Hopefully Ervin and the IOL from Bolles who was a 4 year starter hopefully can provide some rotational depth

I think Samson and Cantwell (both former 5 stars FWIW) will be our OTs and Rodriguez our C (back up by SJ). McCoy, Minaya, Buchanan, Wilkerson, an Meriweather will fight it out at OG.

Not likely as good as last 3 years to start the season. But by end of year, I bet Mario and Mirabal will have the OL beating up opponents like we are accustomed to.

Merriweather will receive the best coaching he’s ever received by a mile. I view this one like Bell. Most people didn’t think much of the take then he got coached up now he’s gone. We’ve discussed this one in private and we both view Seaton as overrated , Leavitt for that matter too. I just wish we could add another quality body to feel better.
