I understand the trepidation that some have with Richt. Why didn't he win it all at UGA? They sure appeared to have plenty of talent. If he couldn't do it there, what makes anyone think he can do it here?
Keep this in mind: Georgia is NOT Miami. Don't listen to espn or the rest of the media or the sec lovers or anyone out there. Listen to the facts and the facts say this....
In the last 31 years Miami has won 5 national championships with 4 different coaches and played for and lost at least 3 other national championships. In that time span Georgia has won 0 national championships with 4 different coaches. Not only that, they haven't even played for a national championship in that time span. Think about that. In that time span Miami has played for a national championship over 25% of the time and Georgia 0% of the time.
Despite all the bs about facilities and crowds etc, Miami does and always will present a unique opportunity to win and win big. We're not down because college football changed. We're down because we hired Larry Coker, Randy Shannon, and Al Golden. Those guys were all awful head coaches. Coker is coaching UTSA, Shannon is a position coach (can't even get a dc job) and Golden is Golden. Mark Richt presents a major upgrade. He can recruit, he can develop players, and he's a guru on the offensive side of the ball. Someone else (WTH I believe) posted that all of our coaches have had their most success at Miami. It's a great point and totally true. There's no reason not to expect the same with Richt and if that's the case we're going to be piling up a lot of W's. Fellas....we're back.
