George Karlaftis Miami legacy is a potential 5 Star recruit?

Karalaftis was unimpressive last year at Paradise IMO.

It looks like he's gotten better and could be one of those guys who blows up in college. But that's my guess as to why UM is not more involved.
Think the staff takes another look at him? Appears to have came a long way and we need some good D-lineman this class.

Is it really going to matter?

If you look at the totality, this seems like an impossible pull.

Not saying they shouldn’t try, but it sure seems like a long shot.

Just followed Simpson on twitter...Might not mean much but hopefully Simpson takes a good look at him before writing him off. Kid is about to be a 5 star legacy prospect and should at least be brought in on an OV.

I bet his Dad was honest and gave our staff a heads up and told our staff his son is just not interested in coming to Miami so don't waste your time.

He has certainly improved since then. He’s 6’4 265 and runs a 4.7, he’s a very good athlete on the dline and looks quick. Has a devastating spin move that he beast some of the best olineman at the opening with. Plays with power too. He definitely should be a priority period right now

Need Stefan, D money and Geo to tell the staff about this kids development so they can reach back out to him. Kid has interest just think we need to push hard for him.

Get him on an OV then play some clips of his pops playing for The U and he'll probably be sold.

This kid just dominated The Opening, by all accounts, and the staff needs Stefan, DMoney, and Geo to tell them about his development? :kobe:

His father, Matt, has been dead for years.

Try to keep up. Read the thread before commenting.

Yeah man. I am currently out in San Diego, but the wife and I will definitely look to head back home to Florida in the next few years. Ortho is a great field. Also, considering that I've been a patient and have had several back surgeries, I have a unique insight into pain and what some folks go through with chronic pain and surgery.

Are you in the health care field as well?

Hey man where does the Canes fans meet up for games in San Diego?

I have no idea actually. I've come across a couple of Canes fans that are in the service and we hit up certain sports bars downtown, but believe it or not, CFB is not very popular in San Diego. Most local folks root for the hometown SDSU Aztecs. Its the military folks that come from the East Coast that are the hard core CFB fans. My neighbor went to Gonorreaville for college, but he's a Canes fan surprisingly!

I did find this though...

Canes Don't Let Canes Watch Games Alone - University of Miami
  • San Diego
Randy Jones All American Sports Grill
    7510 Hazard Center Drive #215
    San Diego, CA 92108
All games except for the Pittsburgh game.

I just googled that place and it closed a while ago. I'm also out in SD and don't really have a specific place to go to. Like Moto said, CFB isn't big here at all. If it's packed on a Saturday afternoon it's not because their watching football.

The Tidewater Tavern in Solana Beach has had game watches. I never went to them, but they do have them.

Solana Beach is kind of far. Never been to striders, looks like they have good food tho.

That's why I never went! But I think the coaster gets you pretty close to it if you really wanted to go. It was the only official thing I knew about.
