George Campbell commits to Michigan

Just think it's hilarious that Cane fans recently think of UMiami in the respects of other top private schools. You guys think UM is head and shoulders above any other school in Florida, while UF has better ranking programs in business, medicine, and law at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In reality a degree from Miami doesn't open as many doors as you think.

I agree about the business school, 2 of my employees went to UF for business school.

forbes methodology for their rankings is ridiculous...15% based on rate my professor? student debt determines how good the education at a school is? pfff

Time to stay on topic, Mr. Kilimanjaro won't be joining us for dinner..

It is so refreshing to be on a Cane board where the mods actually do their work.
This is in stark contrast to Greasy canestime where gayturds are allowed to roam free on that board, insulting
other Canes, and even allowing moles and other fake canes like INcanefan to make fun of Al Golden's wife.
What a cesspool that site is, and I'm glad this stuff isn't allowed here.

how long til UF fans start the davante phillips > george campbell

ima canes fan and I'd take Phillips > campbell

I'm usually biased when it comes to talent in dads, but I really disagree with this. I personally just don't see what the hype about Phillips is. He a good athlete, with average size. He doesn't look like a natural as a wr, and he uses his body too much for catching. Doesn't seem to break many tackles or make people miss either. I seen clips from a camp, which he had 2 or 3 drops, not sure how reliable his hands are in games.

Campbell is just sick. 6'5 players shouldn't have that quickness and agility. Looks like a natural at the position. Him and Coley would be a ridiculous combo.

u campbell is no where near a natural at WR, hence the reason most sites have him listed as an ATH. campbell's biggest weakness is his hands, i've seen dude bobble slants against air. phillips is much better outta breaks and gets more seperation running routes. big WR like calvin johnson and randy moss couldn't run past everybody...they go up high point the ball and catch it in traffic which campbell doesn't consistently. I like both but if i had a choice of only 1 give me phillips (not factoring in home city talent, attracting other south florida ballers, etc)

No High School player should ever be compared with Moss. He is the most explosive and dynamic WR of all time.

why wouldn't I be serious, did u watch either WR in college? they wont be in high school anymore. **** andre johnson was lik 6'3 and ran a 4.3 and if he couldn't get in and out breaks quickly and consitently make tough catches he wouldn't be the WR he is now. what u going to send campbell on 40 fly routes a game?

I was just using him as an example b/c Moss and Calvin are the 2 WR I see campbell get compared to the most. it seems people forget Randy was covered a lot and used to jump up and take the ball over 2 guys head hence the term "moss'd" being created

I agree. Calvin Johnson has just in the last couple of years become a good route runner. Relied on pure freakishness at Tech

I liked the Justin Hunter comparison for now. Kids gotta prove himself first. Look at DGB

At least its somewhere where a degree means something, unlike the Gaytors

Michigan doesnt have a great track record with WR's but its much better than UF's

Happy for the kid. Wrong UM, but Michigan is a solid institution, with a killer engineering school. Best of luck to him.

Oh, and to say they don't have a good track record with WR's is pretty inaccurate:

Braylon Edwards
Amani Toomer
Desmond Howard
Anthony Carter
Mario Manningham

They typically bring a good product to gameday.

Hoke is killing the recruiting trail.
He's 2015 but I think he'll stick with Michigan.

We win the ACC and go to the Orange Bowl or if the stars align perfectly and we make it to Pasadena, there won't be a top 2015 committed recruit clamoring to get on our train.

For all you naysayers Pasadena is only a win against an FSU team which lost all their best players and are starting a 1st year qb, and a win against a good gator defense/pathetic gator offense away.
We also have to get over the titans of Virginia and North Carolina.
Looking at our schedule and its uf and FSU. Everyone else we should beat if not dominate.
