I think you jumped the gun on ROK bud, They did say Clark was not going to be ready to start the season, but they also said Clark was going to RS this year. That would imply he plays in 4 or less games. We still have 7-8 games left, Jakai has already played, no way in **** cuz redshirts now.

They said he would red shirt, per his and his family's wishes, unless they needed him. And clearly, that's the case. No one could have foreseen this.

I think Gaynor is solid, albeit a bit limited physically but there's a lot to be said about making the right calls on the line, etc. That said, Clark has seemed ok at center and next year Seymore will get a shot.

Clark is a solid lineman in my opinion. It’s just a bad domino effect rather than just being a replacement I guess was what I am getting at

Gaynor is solid in what aspect? He doesn't pass protect well. He doesn't run block well. Calling protections being a strength when we constantly miss diagnose blitzes isn't a good thing. His snaps are atrocious. Injuries don't replace film.

Agreed with that. I guess the timing of that statement is what makes the difference. We have known Gaynor was nicked for awhile. Manny does do a good job of keeping injuries locked down like fort knox but I think there is likely some assumption the team knew Gaynor was done and if they made the RS comment AFTER the injury, that is the ineptitude rearing its head. If it was before, then you are correct. It was the original game plan, but injuries change things and here we are.
