Not sure champagne goes well with pizza, but definitely popping a cork tonight which is pizza night in our home!! Have a nice bottle of French Champagne chilling.
It actually does pair well with pizza (and even better with fried chicken.) The acidity pairs well with the acidity of a good tomato sauce.

So we’re not paying the buyout? Should we expect some sort of lawsuit from Gattis? Will there ever be a confirmation from the university that we’re not paying the buyout and what the cause of termination is? Can anyone actually explain why this took so long now that it’s over?

I don’t think Miami is paying his buyout. Lots of chatter past few days that this was an internal HR type issue that ultimately led to them firing with cause. Seems like his reputation of being a ladies man might have caught up with him within the workplace.
now that its over, anybody care to share why it took so long? And what the firing for cause everyone is insinuating is about?

Farrell knows nothing.

Afternoon BJ Barry Jacksoff knows nothing.

The paid media have been lagging on this storyline FOR MONTHS. Just a couple of days ago, Gary and Matt and Barry Jacksoff were telling us that Gattis might get demoted and retained.
Matt posted THIS MORNING that "the option of keeping Gattis on as WR/Co Oc coach is still open". Literally posted that THIS MORNING.

Ok.. So what was it?

It's only been hinted at for days.

First, all the coaches have known where they stand (or don't stand) for a few weeks now. Second, Gattis' situation became more complex a couple of weeks ago.

If you want JUST AN EXAMPLE (and not a hint) of how things can go south "for cause" so quickly, Google "Craig Kuligowski". He's in the Toledo Sports Hall of Fame, by God, and they still fired him for cause.
