Tennessee one day will wake up and accept the fact they are getting less relevant every year. They recruit well and still can't win the sec much less a natty.

Their obsession with recruiting rankings has always been ridiculous to me. I trust our evals development and roster management enough to not care where we fall in the class rankings as long as we’re in the top 12. I’m happy we’re #2 right now of course. But Cooper, Toney, Moten. OJ et al. tell me that our staff ranks recruits better than the internet gurus
 
Worthwhile pointing out that a lot of our recent bump has been due to improved rankings by guys who committed to us when they were unranked or three stars.

Guys like Moore, Wiley and Congdon (3 to 4) or Wingo and recently Randle (low 4 to high 4). Lots of post-offer or post-commit grade improvements. Coaches started tracking Randle in 2023 when he was unranked, just as an example.

This is happening all the time now. Whether it’s because we see them earlier (we often do) or a Miami offer/commitment causes the rankings analysts to pay more attention or we’re truly getting a bump because a Miami offer has more value now, whatever the reason our kids are much more likely to get ranked higher over time.

They have to be obsessed with the rankings because they need the outside validation to tell them that Sumrall is the guy. Just like they needed it to tell them that Billy was the guy, and Mullen, and McElwain, and Muschamp too. They don't even know what a good team looks like anymore because they've been gaslit for so long into thinking they had a good team each year.

They're just an insecure, desperate chick with zero sense of self and acts like they're all that, but in reality will go home with the first guy that hits on her at the bar.

I mean what good could come from HS kids seeing the 5 star hotels and apartments their players enjoy. You gotta eat the Mac and cheese , say a couple of "Go Gators" and some chomps, proving you are worthy of such spoils first.
