SIAP but aren’t we the only team with 2 returning 1K yard receivers, one of which caught those balls from our QB and the other who was an AA as a true freshman (should be HS senior)? Those aren’t projections but historical facts. You want to project? I’ll call you on Innis and Henry with a Jacobs and Wingo, and raise you a Moore, Vaughn and Upshaw.

I won’t argue someone can claim another team has a better wide receiver group. But I think the insider assessment of Spring practice backs up both last season’s facts and this season’s projections. Add Mensah to the mix and it’s the worst kept secret in college football. We are lighting up that scoreboard.

2026 will be 2024 offense + 2025 defense = 40+ ppg on offense and 20- ppg on defense.
I agree we are loaded. Super deep with a young kid who is as dynamic as they come. Its just a long stretch to say we are the undeniable best when Toney is a slot and Barkate is a possession guy. Neither is a true physically dominant number one receiver. That's Canes shades off. I wouldnt trade Toney for any one but there are people right now that would argue Tate and Smith with Innis last year was way better than our room this year. I disagree but while he is a fraud Tate will be a first rounder. Henry may not be a fraud he could very well be a tate level player immediately. Which means OSU could be considered better. Not is but could be considered. Our room is still a projection. Like everyone else. We project to be a top ten offense and probably are going to be shockingly good but its not crazy to acknowledge that other teams have crazy talented rooms that may have more NFL impact players on them.

Look, Dallas Wilson may be great, but he had 12 catches last year. Let's wait JUST A MINUTE before crowning him.

Even moreso for Chris Henry. Come on, true freshman. Settle down.

Again, I don't care about "ratings". I know Wilson and Henry are talented, regardless of stars. The more relevant issues are production (Wilson hasn't had much) and transition-to-college (Henry may not be a first year star).

Let's all try to be realistic. First, you HEADLINE the Miami WR room with Baby Jesus and Barkate, the top 2 WRs in the ACC last year with 1,000 yards each. Then, simply from the Portal alone, you add Cam Vaughn, who had two good years at WVU, which is in a P4 conference, and Vandrevius Jacobs, who had a good year at South Carolina, which is in a little conference called the SEC. So two guys who produced good numbers against good competition. And all of that is before I offset all your other "names" with Miami counterparts, like Josh Moore (who had better stats last year than Dallas Wilson did) and Samourian Wingo (who was ranked a mere 40 spots below Henry Jr in the composite rankings).

I don't mind debating, but most of the arguments against my position are based on hype and projection, rather than actual production. No team in the country matches the ESTABLISHED production of Miami's top 4 guys (Baby Jesus and the 3 P4 transfers). Keelan Marion and CJ Daniels are proof positive that we can take quality transfer WRs and get them to 50 catches each. It's not that complicated.

Maybe let's all just back away from the freshman hype machine. I mean, what Baby Jesus did last year was amazing, but let's not expect that from every other freshman WR at every other school. Can we just respect the rare and unique nature of what Malachi did last year?
My deal is I am coming at this from two perspectives when we say best.

1. End of season perspective. Where will this room rank in January

2. NFL production. How will these kids be perceived 6 yrs from now

That is how I am defining best and that doesn't mean it right that's just what I immediately think of as the defining criteria

To start this season its reasonable to discount projection and focus only on production. Under that lens we are clearly better than most, if not all but I think that's not a genuine assessment of the "best." The reality is we lack a true number 1 body type and there are teams out there with 2 of them. Does that make them better? I dont know? I like what we have, wouldnt trade it, I want to ride with our guys they could and should be the most productive room in the country at the P4 level. But Barkate probably isnt going to be a pro bowl WR in the league and Toney may be more Noel Devine/Tavon Austin than Tyreek Hill when it comes to the league and all that. If we had an established #1 body type player I think I'd be a bit more bullish on the best room in the nation stance. Coleman and Wingo may be two all pros, same for Smith and Henry. Brown and Wilson have flashed but I mean they are Gators so I expect them to eventually implode but preseason I wouldnt laugh in someone's face about the potential of their room.

I am certain there are other groups out there worthy of debate but who cares? I dont, I am good with what we have and I am really excited about the opportunities they are going to have this upcoming season.

If we are projecting then I agree Samourian Wingo or Josh Moore will likely explode onto the scene for us. Paired with Barkate and Toney we would be pretty undeniable especially given that our second line of receivers would be Moore/Wingo Jacobs and Vaughan. That second group would start for 90% of the teams in the country. **** thats probably a top 30 unit backing up our starters. SO we do have an embarrassment of riches at WR and arguably the deepest room in the country but Id say starting 3 overall is debatable for now.

Neither 1 nor 2 is relevant. There's plenty of time to analyze that LATER. But not now.

What is the WR room NOW? Not in a year. Not in 6 years.

I'm sure our WR room looked GREAT when we signed Mark Pope and Brian Hightower and Dee Wiggins. Don't care. Irrelevant.

No projections, no hype, no "potential".

What is the value of the actual current WR room and the productivity of each player? That's all that matters for this year. We've got plenty of time to re-rank and revisit the debate later.

And quite frankly, I don't give a **** about what these kids do in the NFL. That's for the future. Right now, all I care about is what they are doing for my alma mater.

What did this ************ TwinBlade SlingBlade expect? He is a G5 corch following another G5 corch.

Did he honestly believe that the Gator football team would be an unbeatable powerhouse after a couple weeks of his magical corching?

Give me a ******* break.

But but Hiller, top 10 recruiting class 🌈

While Taint has the best player in college at WR, they do not have a top 5 WR room now. I don't believe it's top 10 unless Chris Henry has a breakout TR FR season. They were counting on former 5*'s Graham and Porter to step in, but they transfered to ND. Dixon-Wyatt flipped out of their class after Hartline left. I do like McCuin from UTSA they added. 2025 was already the least explosive OSU has been on O in over a decade. After losing 30 transfers ( many really good players) and this draft, I expect a slight drop off from them for the first time in a long time. Their fanbase were already upset with their O last season.
I thought all the mopes went into exile after last year?

You must’ve been in a rush that was very short
