Tears Gator Tears

Name 3 schools who has batter Dl and ol from top to bottom. Experience yes but on paper Miami DL and De combination should be one of the best in college . Ol two five star kids and high 4 star kids . Experience again is the issue here too , Breaking in new ol but everyone has to do that eventually . My point in the tenches Miami is top 5
Well, for one, FSU has a better d-line for sure. Ok, I joke, I joke.

I can’t name 3 schools with a better D-line than Miami’s. I don’t keep up with the other school’s players like I do ours. I think our DL group is excellent. I’m just saying it’s a bit of a stretch to claim it as the country’s best.

Same with o-line. I think it’s really good. We lost 3 absolute units on the line. We return some good players and some unproven newcomers. Again, I think it’s a bit of a stretch to claim our OL as the best. Thats all I’m saying.

DL- A little delusion here for sure. It should be really good. We got excellent players coming back in Moten and Scott, and also picked up some studs in the portal. Definitely a stretch to call this the country's best. Too much of this is based on potential from the rest of the group.
I understand where you're coming from here but can you name a DL room better?

This is confusing. On one hand you say you don't keep up with other schools DL then on the other hand you said it's a "Stretch" to claim ours the best. How would you know it's a stretch if you don't know anything about the other DL rooms in the nation?

Feel free to name the better WR rooms. In the country.
I would say Ohio State if I’m being honest. I don’t think there are many better WR groups than ours. I’m just saying it’s a bit of a stretch to claim it as #1 in the country at this point. As I said I’m my original post, it might end up being the best WR group as the season progresses.

For the d-line, we lost Bain, Messidor and Blay. Bain and Messidor were insane. Not saying we can’t replace their production, but I don’t think anybody we have on the roster will be a wrecking ball like Bain was. Lightfoot appears to be that guy, but he’s not Bain at this point. I don’t know if the guy we brought in from Mizzou will be as good as Messidor.

Blay will be easy to replace. He was solid at times. I think Scott is just as good and will be a monster this year.

Again, I think our d-line is going to be excellent. And you make a great point, I haven’t done my research and that is one of the reasons I’m not claiming our d-line as #1 in the country. I don’t know enough about the DL’s for other schools to claim ours is the best.

Yeah, we are probably going a bit far with some these position groups. Don't forget RB room. Some say that's the best.

In all seriousness, we aren't too far off with some of these.

QB - He is one of the best in the country. Top 3 for sure. Not delusion

DL- A little delusion here for sure. It should be really good. We got excellent players coming back in Moten and Scott, and also picked up some studs in the portal. Definitely a stretch to call this the country's best. Too much of this is based on potential from the rest of the group.

OL - Lot of delusion here to call it the best. This might be based off the last 2 years of play. Should still be very good and we know it will be well coached.

WR- Some delusion here. We obviously have the best slot receiver and playmaker in the country. That cannot be argued. Barkate is proven and we picked up some other solid receivers in the portal. Moore and Upshaw flashed in limited opportunities and have a ton of upside. Incoming freshman class highly rated, but haven't proved anything yet. I think it's a very talented and deep position group, but calling it the best is a stretch. Maybe it will be as the season plays out.

At least we aren't as delusional as the gators were last year at this time. Remember, they had the best QB, OL, and LB groups. I think FSU still has the best DL for the 5th straight year now.
QB: Agree

DL: We have two top 10 DT's in the country coming back with Moten and Scott. Most expect Scott to make another jump and Moten is getting a year stronger. Damon Wilson is a top 5-10 returning edge in football and while Lightfoot and Lowe are projections, we have Blount as well that will be a top tier guy in the ACC. Maybe Oregon or Texas Tech can say they have the horses like we do across the DL and even then, I'd take our guys.

OL: Agree

WR: Toney is a top 3-5 WR in college coming back next year. Barkate was a 1000 yard receiver. V Jacobs is a home run waiting to happen and played with a very inconsistent QB last year. Vaughn is our 4th WR and had 540 yards last year on a TERRIBLE offense and had 800+ yards the year before. We might be the only team in the country returning multiple 1000 yard guys from last year + two more 500+ yard guys + the promising youngsters. I don't know many, if any teams that have a better/deeper room than we do outside of Texas and maybe OSU if Cj Jr is who they think he is.

What in the actual ****?

Look, I'm a HUGE fan of Jeremiah Smith and everything he has accomplished thus far. But after JJ, the RETURNING receivers for Taint are...let's see...oh, yeah, #4 is Brandon Innis, #5 and #7 and #8 are running backs, and #6 and #9 are tight ends.

Thus, outside of JJ and Brandon, the NEXT BEST returning Taint WR would be...Mylan Graham and Bryson Rodgers...tied at #10...with 6 receptions each in 2025.

Now, if you want to claim your opinion is based on transfers like Kyle Parker from LSU and Devin McCuin from (checks notes) UTSA, well, that's a choice too.

So I would simply ask you, how in the **** you are saying "Ohio State if I'm being honest"? Is that a prior year opinion? Is that an opinion based on "reputation" rather than results? Because as good as Jeremiah Smith is, he literally IS the Taint "WR room". Kyle Parker has 34 career receptions in 3 years at LSU. Brandon Innis had 36 receptions last year at Taint, which pretty much IS his entire career.

And yet, FROM THIS, you have concluded that Taint has a better WR room. "If you're being honest".

Thank you for that.

Meanwhile, we return the top 2 WRs in the ACC for 2025, without even considering our #3 through #10 guys.

on paper we should be solid on ol and dl if we figure out the right fit for ol . Elite to me is the ability to lose your best de’s and most of your ol and reload. On paper we have now we’ll see if it plays out . Mario will make adjustment as the season goes on if they don’t cut it . We have another freshman ol I can see starting by the end of the season .i do believe our dl will be better this than last . Bigger push In the middle with our DTs
