I did NOT do the math, my apologies.

What I think is interesting here is that, at one point, the class scores (and thus rankings) were based on the Top 25 signees. This was a response to two things, one was the overall and "initial counter" limits, and the other was to guard against that old-time SEC (was it Auburn or Ole Miss?) signing of, like, 35 players, thus giving you a massive (theoretical) score for your jumbo class.

Of course, SINCE THEN, the IC limits have gone away and the PORTAL now factors in (though AT THIS MOMENT, it does not, since nobody has entered or exited the Portal, officially).

The reason I even mention this weird diatribe is that I did NOT see our class score rise when we added our 30th signee, a guy who was not originally included in our 29 verbal commits.

So I'm not completely sure what goes into these website math formulas. If it was up to me, I'd sum up the scores of the top 19 signees in each class. I realize this would "add up" to about 17 or something, but if you adjusted the decimal point, it would become something significant.

For instance, if you took Cantwell, he's at a 0.999. Then you take Wingo, he's at a 0.9735. Add up the top 19. Add up The Gator's top 19. I'm confident.

Sorry I haven't put it into Excel yet, I've been busy with due diligence on a $110M corporate acquisition.

No need to apologize, my mistake. I think I may be thinking of something you posted in the Nole Tears thread instead.

That is interesting and something I didn’t realize. I was super shocked to see that no one decommitted throughout the whole Lane saga, but I guess they must have had people telling them Lane was coming. Another weird side effect of this NCAA calendar issue.

Then 247 has to scrape together a couple of 22 year old interns to run that site, and the Gator fans are mad because those guys don't have the deep contacts or the broad knowledge of the program to figure out what is really happening with the Lane Train pursuit.

And on Sunday they had all the pitchforks out again because those arrogant idiots got duped by other posters, so now they want new ones. They were beating the crap out of Graham for not telling them information before he had it confirmed.

Can’t see avg but I’m sure it’d be way over theirs, maybe even over a 92 (ours is 91.08 currently, theirs is 91.24). So yeah they’re still not touching us.

And 2 of their guys didn’t sign idk why. So that’s a factor too.

I posted this on the board but said compare their 18-man class to our top 18 to get an average score that is comparable given that our class is like 30 players. I didn’t have the scores as I didn’t do the calculation thing but it’s in response to people posting about the gator having a higher average class. My point is if we stopped at what they have on an apples to apples basis we would have the higher average score.

I am forgiving and magnanimous... So yes, but only if he first posts, "I was wrong for calling for these threads to be closed. I was being emotional and shortsighted. I'm addicted to these big, salty tears and will never speak against them again."
