From friends, apparently going into this season, he was viewed as not a good fit and his personality was not the type to be able to deal with the boosters and political aspects of that job.

He could make the same money and go to Penn St (2/3 the amount of pressure as bama) or even return to UW (1/5 the amount of pressure as bama) after Fisch leaves.

You never want to be the guy who follows the legendary coach. He is basically getting compared to Saban and what he did. Easier to be next guy after that typically. Then again Bama fans think it is their birthright to be in the CFP and winning NCs so always going to be some delusion there.

Agreed. Love the OKS hiring of Morris. This one not so much. Wonder how well he will be able to recruit the pieces for the system he wants to run. Time will tell. Another chip off the board in the coaching sweepstakes.
