You know they have the hedge ready when it doesn’t happen.

I still can’t understand why he would leave for Florida… Lane hates dealing with boosters and I know that from someone who played at Ole Miss… they leave him alone. The Florida boosters would want to follow him in the bathroom to watch him take a ****.

More importantly, I cannot see Lane "announcing" that he is leaving Ole Miss with 2 weeks left in the regular season, and with a near certainty that Ole Miss will be in the playoffs.

First, he isn't going to get any "advantage" by taking the Florida job now;. He already recruits the SEC, so he knows which targets he would want to pursue. And I'm quite sure that "most" of the current Gator recruiting class would stick with Lane Train, no matter if he starts tomorrow or in January.

Second, this is what Lane has been building to, a chance for Ole Miss to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of the SEC bluebloods in the CFP. Who knows if he will ever achieve that again at Florida, there are no guarantees. Why would he bypass a LEGITIMATE shot at the national championship to pound his pud at Spurrier's Bar & Grill. Lane is likely to take a bunch of his coaches with him, and probably some players too. Why rush things and forego the CFP run with Ole Miss?

Makes no sense at all for a "Sunday announcement" that will make all the Bull**** Gator boosters happy.

Realistic question? Do we make a run at Lagway in the off season? I’m not saying drop a big NIL bag but there’s some raw tools there. If he can get healthy lose some weight and get the **** away from the Gator offense, he might be salvageable
A better option than Sellers and Bailey imo. Emory probably better than all 3

Are players allowed to transfer within the Sec? I thought they don’t allow that unless they’ve graduated already

So, how's this work if they announce Kiffin to UF today?

There's no chance he finishes out the year at Ole Miss right? The hate/toxicity would be way too high. Remember when he left Tennessee to go to USC? He'll need to be out of town tonight.

He's just going to walk away from a playoff team in November?

Isn't this a textbook case of tampering with someone on an existing contract?
