The 2025 Florida Gators are going to be the 2024 Chicago Bears. Highly touted QB with a lot of WR’s & a bad HC. I see 7-5 for them.
 
Heartache is coming. Their staff had people believing Lagway was the next, had me believing and then he started most of the season. This team got worse in the off season. I expect this season to be what everyone expected last season. They are starting 2-4, 2 wins, 4 straight losses before their next win. I have Vegas dead on at 6-6. They do beat the Noles, but Napier is fired and the top talent from the 25 class leaves, a couple the Canes way. Just my opinion. I haven't evaluated updated rosters yet, though.

Just an FYI, Lagway is their version of Kyle Wright to Miami in a way. Or maybe Duke Johnson would be a better example, even though he’s not a QB.

Lagway is a 5* that committed a long time ago, stayed loyal, helped recruit other kids, and just really loves Billy and UF. Lagway is a great kid with natural talent and is the kind of kid who you naturally want to root for. The staff didn’t have to work hard to sell the fanbase on him. That’s why they have been adamant that he’s not going to transfer; the chances of that happening really are very slim if you know the kid and his history with UF.

I have said this in other places on the board - I feel for the kid because of his shoulder injury and the fact that he was thrown to the wolves too early behind that atrocious OL last year. I worry for his sake that his talent won’t be appropriately developed at UF and that will suck. He does have the talent deserving of the hype he is getting, but I do not think he is going to be able to show it there and it’s a shame. Maybe this is where the KW comparison is appropriate.

But people that think he sucks because of last year’s stats are also underhyping him. I understand why, and it is justified to an extent. UF was not good, and even two OL coaches couldn’t save both their QBs from getting hurt. I hope he makes it through this season without doing further damage to his shoulder, because I would hate to see his career get ruined.

Even worse, you're putting out major **** troll vibes... first posts were in the Flowers thread after it was obvious he was going ****. Mentioning pipeline and referring to some cuck named Billy (we know him as Gapier, or worse). Some off activity in the Cantwell thread. And now this.

Got cha. I like Lagway a lot, think he CAN be great, but it’s not really HIM i’m doubting, it’s the scheme. Florida not “sneaking” up on anyone like we did towards the end of the year last year (and aided by a terrible FSU and average Tulane squad) this year. 4-4 midway SHOULD not cut it this year expectations wise.

One thing I caution my fellow Gator fans is that yea we return a lot of talent, but i meeeeean, not like other teams on our schedule didn’t either lol

I 100% agree. See my post bottom of previous page for my take on Lagway - it's similar to yours. I was so impressed with what I saw out of him last spring and said back then he was far and away better than Mertz. I don't trust Billy and his staff though, and there are depth concerns. I foresee UF being a mid-SEC team while Billy is still there.

I’d watch the other **** troll up above you as He lives in turdville and his turddom seems to be oozing out of him…
